She steps forward, trying to stab me.
But her stance is off center. I sweep her leg this time, "That's not what happened."
"So what happened?" She lands on her butt but blocks my attack, "I mean I'd hate it if your bae over there thought you were a cold-blooded killer that like killing."
"Enough!" Lloyd lets out a large energy blast, shattering the ice on his feet, "I don't even think Jay talks this much during a fight."
"Because he makes quips," she throws ice before back rolling up, "I tell truthful, accurate stories."
"Lier," I'm losing my temper. No one's gotten this much under my skin like she is. And she just had to bring him up. Way to rub salt in the wound.
"I know you are but what am I?" She cackles as a small snow storm erupts.
Lloyd's fists are aglow with energy, "About to get your butt handed to you."
He fires but she blocks with an ice shield. She hops on top, her right side facing us. She hums as the storm grows stronger, "Back to the murder. Let me try again." She points her sword at us as icicles rain from the sky, "You're feelings got hurt. Inraged you killed Kent."
I bite down on my lower lip.
I thought I'd never have to hear that name again.
I wipe around to evade being hit by ice, "Still a little off target."
"What part am I missing?" She stops her storm, pulling out her bow, "Weren't you thirteen?"
"Yes. I was." I peek at the sword. The arrowheads to Lloyd. I look up, nod my head to the right. He gets the message and rolls out of the way in time.
"Weren't you imprisoned by the Black King?"
She fires at me this time but thanks to the sword, she misses. I watch the sword carefully as it shows her getting off her safe zone and locking blades with me.
And she does just that.
I catch her in time, pushing her back as I grip my sword. I swing it, just missing her gut as she hops back, "Yes." I push thoughts about that day as far away as I can.
"Did you or did you not train with your twin Katara, have classes with her, abandoned her when she was about to journey down a dark, dark path?" The new rose steady her self. She slashes again and again. Making an x pattern as I have to keep stepping back so my face doesn't become sliced bread.
I'm back at her ice platform, I step to the left, managing to cut a bit of her hood with my sword, then I swing around, trying to back knuckle her but end up missing by a hair, "Yes. I shouldn't have left my sister despite her pleases."
Lloyd starts spinning towards us, "Come back here." He tries spinning into the new rose only for her to trip him. He slams face first into the ice as she grips the back of his hood, "OW!"
The new rose forces him to turn around, "Did your ICE powers rely on your emotions and how strong you felt them?" She swings up her sword, nearly cutting Lloyd's head off. Her blade is inches from his neck.
So that was her plan.
Getting my confession.
She breathes heavily as she wobbles a little, "Tell me. Are the powers I have just like your's? Where the more hate I feel, the stronger I'll be?"
"I don't know." I keep my sword horizontal and the sword of sanctuary posed for attack, "I have no idea what my father did to you."
"Wrong," her voice switches from nasty to sing-songy as she drops her sword to chock Lloyd. Blacklight comes from her hands as Lloyd's skin shows dark vines. "I could care less what happens to him. But I think you care." She locks eyes with me as she pulls off his mask, showing his strength leaving him, "DID your ice powers rely on your emotions and how strong you felt them?"
