Ch. 8 Facing The Bully

Sofia POV
Today was the day I go back to school. I have mixed emotions about going back.
Now I'm in the kitchen eating breakfast.

Kevin: What's wrong kiddo?
Sofia: I'm nervous about going back to school.
Kevin: Why?
Sofia: Because of the girl who bullies me. What if she comes at me?
Kevin: You'll be okay. If she bothers you, text us immediately and we'll handle it.
Sofia: Okay daddy.
Kevin: Okay let's go.

So daddy takes me to school to drop me off.

Sofia: Thanks daddy. I love you.
Kevin: I love you too. Have a good day at school. Remember what I said.
Sofia: Okay.

So I went into the school to my class.

Mrs. Ellis: Hi, Sofia.
Sofia: Hi, Mrs. Ellis.
Mrs. Ellis: It's good to see that you and I'm so glad that you got adopted.
Sofia: I am too.

So far the day has been going good. Soon it was time for recess. For me was my favorite part of the day. For two reasons I get to do either some reading or listen to Pentatonix. But today I wanted to read. It was all good or so I thought. Here comes Hannah, the girl how has bullied me. I texted everyone.

Hannah: Well, what do we have here?
Sofia: Leave me alone. I don't have time for this.

She takes my book and throws.

Sofia: Hey that was mine.
Hannah: Do I care? I heard that you got adopted.
Sofia: So what does that mean?
Hannah: I know that whoever did doesn't love you and they will send you back. You are a nobody.

Then she pushes me to the ground and starts kicking me. And I hear a familiar voice.

Kevin: Hey, get off of her.

It's daddy, Uncle Avi, Uncle Scottie, Auntie Mitch, and Aunt Kirstie.

Sofia: Daddy?
Kevin: Kirstie and Mitch take Sofia to the hospital.
Scott: And you miss. You aren't going anywhere.
 
I see Mrs. Ellis come over to daddy, Uncle Avi, and Uncle Scottie.

Kevin POV
So Kirstin and Mitch take Sofia to the hospital.

Mrs. Ellis: What happened here?
Kevin: Apparently this little girl has been bullying my daughter.
Mrs. Ellis: Hannah is this true?
Hannah: No. I would never do that.
Avi: When we came over here we saw you push Sofia and kick her.
Mrs. Ellis: Hannah to the principal's office now.

So Hannah goes to the office and we follow behind Mrs. Ellis and Hannah.

Mrs. Ellis: I'm sorry. I never got your names.
Kevin: I'm Kevin Olusola. I adopted Sofia and these are my friends Avi Kaplan and Scott Hoying.
Mrs. Ellis: Please to meet you. I'm Mrs. Ellis, Sofia's teacher.

We went to the principal's office.

Mrs. Kennedy: Hi, what can I do for you?
Kevin: Hi, I'm Kevin Olusola. I adopted Sofia.
Mrs. Kennedy: Oh yes. I'm glad that she is adopted. She's had a hard time for the past few years.
Kevin: Well that is what happened today.
Mrs. Kennedy: What do you mean?
Kevin: Well, Sofia recently told me that she has been bullied and she texted me and my friends telling us that Hannah is bothering her. We caught her kicking Sofia.
Mrs. Kennedy: Oh no. Bully is not allowed in my school. I will take care of this. Where is Sofia now?
Kevin: My friends are taking her to the hospital because she was beaten up pretty bad.
Mrs. Kennedy: Okay. I hope she's okay. I'll handle Hannah. Since it's almost summer vacation, Sofia can be let out early.
Kevin: Thank you.
Mrs. Kennedy: Thank you Mr. Olusola.

So Avi, Scott, and I left to go to the hospital.
