"Miss, may I please use the washroom?"

"Quickly, you don't wanna keep your partner waiting." Mrs. Ruby told him. He snorted and nodded while headed off to the washrooms.

As he walked down he heard a voice, "Shut up and listen to me!"

Jack hurriedly walked down the hall to where to voice was coming from. He turned a corner and watched a boy push another boy against the brick wall.

"Hey, get off!" Jack yelled. The two boys jumped from the sudden noise.

"What're you going to do about it?" The tall boy yelled.

Jack laughed, "Don't try to be all tough on me, just let the boy go."

The guy scoffed and let go of the boy, "Pathetic, I'm not even going to waste my time. Have a nice day Zach."

Zach was sitting down on the ground, a crying mess. Jack leaned down and spok with sympathy, "Are you okay?"

Zach quickly opened his eyes. He had forgotten that somebody was standing there and watching him. He wiped tears that were rapidly falling, "O-Oh yeah, thank you." He quickly got up and speed-walked down the hall.

Jack stood there in shock of what he had just witnessed; he hoped the boy was okay. He suddenly realized that he left his partner waiting for a quite some time and Mrs. Ruby would kill him if he didn't come back soon. 

He arrived in the class and sat down at his desk. He quickly grabbed his phone, wanting to see if his partner had already texted him. Though, he didn't have any notifications. He logged back into his phone and started texting again.
