Don't look this way in Backwards Town
no one's thinking straightThey walk with their hands
eat with their feet
and think fish custard's great
bananas grow on apple trees
Sharks fly above the streetsEveryone's born super old
babies drive and drink and die
Kids stay at home or work six jobs
while the parents just run wild
Mice eat catsand dogs drink juice
and everything's on fire
Don't cry at night
the shadows answer
and reach out to hold your hand
You can't be here until the end
so fight for every day
Because Backwards Town is all there is
for those who lose their way
