Hunger Games - New Dawn

"i have a plan" i heard Beetee Johanna got up and shouted Finnick

"where do the careers feel safest? the jungle" he wondered

"the jungle's a nightmare" Johanna states

"proberly here on the beech" Peeta clarifies and i nod

"then why are they not here?" Beetee countered

"because we've claimed it" i speak.

"and if we left the would come"

"or stay hidden in the tree line" Finnick counters

"which in four hours will be soaked over from the 10:00 wave and what happens at midnight?"

"lightning striks that tree" i say

"here's what i propose we leave the beach at dusk and head over to the lightning tree that should draw them back to the beach. then prior to midnight we run this wire from the tree to the water. Anyone in the water or on the damp sand will be electrocuted" he proposes as Peeta feels the damp sand

"how do we know the wire is not going to burn up?" Johanna questions

"because i invented it. i assure you it won't burn up" everyone looked at each other decided "well its better than hunting them down"

"yeah why not and if it fails there is no harm done" i shrug

"i say we try it" Peeta agrees

"so what can we do to help?" Finnick asked

"keep me alive for the next six hours. that would be extremely help full" we nodded and the went to diffrent areas of the beach. it was getting close to dusk when i was looking round at everyone Finnick was training with his trident. Beetee was talking to a bored Johanna when this was all over with the careers we would turn on each other.

"i think we need to go" i told Peeta

"this plan's gonna work" he reassured

"i think so to but once the careers are gone you know what happens next. i don't want to be the one that shoots first."

"what if they don't either. what if all of us refuse to shoot up first" he counters

"we all still might end up dead" i reply

"why not it worked for us last time" he shrugged

"it was just the two of us then besides they're not going to make the same mistake twice. both you and i know there is only going to be one person walking out of here and its going to be one of us" i trace a pattern on his hand

"the careers are still out there we should stick with them till midnight and if a cannon goes off them we leave." i thought about it then nodded

"Lilly i know you made a deal with Haymitch....the night before the games" i was about to say something but he stopped me. "i know because i made the same one too." he took of his necklace.

"Lilly if you die then i have nothing you are my whole world and nothing else would matter if you weren't there." he messed with his medallion.

"but you have your family and people who need you."

"i need you. god you can be such a idiot i may have Gale, Posy, Mum, Vick all of them but i love you for years we've seen each other and done nothing but now that i have you I'm not letting you go. ever so get that through your thick skull" he chuckles

"Haymitch is rubbing off on you" i shrug. he opens up his medallion which has three pictures one of my family then of us two then the final one is the Everdeen's.

"i want you to keep it" he told me

"i can't Effie gave it to you" i tried to give it back to him but he pushed it back to me.

"please" he whispered. i finally nodded and he gripped my head pulling me in for a kiss. i would never tire of them.

"come on love birds" Johanna shouted making his part i growled i wanted to stay with him forever. putting the pictures back in the medallion and slipped it over my head.
