Chapter 22

"I choose hayes". I say to Jacob

It goes silent

"Jacob please listen to me, I love you with all my heart it's just, I liked hayes before you and I still have feelings for him. Please say we can still be friends". I cry

All I hear is heaving breathing

"Jacob please". I say barely above a whisper

"Don't talk to me ever again". He says and then the line goes dead

I slam my phone down and start screaming into my pillow.

Emilee comes running through the door.

"Maddison what's wrong"! She screams

"Just leave me alone". I say through teary eyes

"Just tell me what's going on". She says grabbing my hand

I jerk it away real quick

"I told you to just leave me alone". I say running to my bathroom and locking the door

Emilee comes over and bangs on the door a couple times

"Your gonna have to come out some time". She says as I hear her back hit the door and she slides down

I sit on the toilet barely crying. I stand up, and open the door. Emilee falls back and her head hits the ground.

I giggle a bit

"What was that for"? She laughs

I just walk over to my bed and giggle and motion her to come over.

"So do you wanna talk about it now"? She ask

I nod my head

"When hayes and I broke up I started hanging out with Jacob. But I still had feelings for hayes. So yesterday I went out to dinner with hayes and he asked me to choose between him and Jacob. Jacob has been so nice to me but, I don't know there's just something about hayes. So anyway after I made up my mind that I wanted to be with hayes I called Jacob. I told him what happened yesterday and then I told him that I picked hayes. I asked him if we could still be friends but he told me to never talk to him again then he hung up". I cry

"It's okay Maddison, you picked hayes so that who you need to be with". She says rubbing my back

She's right, after all this time I still picked hayes.

I wipe away a couple tears and shake my head.

"Your right". I say looking at her

"Like always". She says flipping her hair

"You cocky son of a bitch". I laugh

"You know it". She laughs bringing me into a hug

"I think you have a phone call to make". She says handing me my phone

I grab it and she's walks out of the room.

I dial hayes' number and it rings. He answers almost instantly.

"Hey"! He says

"Hey". I say back

"Soooo, are you calling to give me good news or bad news"? He ask

"Good news". I smile

"Oh my god, she took me back". I hear him scream

I laugh

"Okay I'm back". He says and I can tell he's smiling

"Hayes Shutup, me and Maddie are trying to watch a movie". I hear Nash scream in the back

I smile

"Hey do you wanna come over"? Hayes ask

"Yeah". I say

"Okay I'll be waiting for you". He says

"Alright bye". I smile

"Bye". He says and I hang up

I walk over to my closet and pick out a chevron crop top, denim high waisted shorts, and my black combat boots. I put my hair up into a side ponytail and head out the door.
