Twins
Morgan and I have been together for six years and been married for a year and a half now. Morgan has always talked about wanting kids one day. When I was younger I never saw myself having kids but when I meet Morgan I wanted to have kids with him. The way he would talk about having kids and how he would raise them just put me in awe.
I found out two days ago that I was pregnant but I didn't tell Morgan yet because one he was out of town and I didn't want to tell him over the phone and two I wanted to tell him in a special way not just coming out telling him. I have a doctors appointment in today's which is the day Morgan comes home from his road trip but he won't be home till late.
"Hey, are you ready?" Lucy comes walking into mine and Morgan's room I was just fishing getting ready. Lucy asked if I wanted her to come with me because Morgan wasn't going and didn't know. I thought it was a great idea because I really didn't want to go alone.
"Yes!" I grabbed my bag and followed her out the door. I don't know why I am so nervous. I already know I'm pregnant I mean I took like ten different test to make sure and they all came out positive.
"Are you excited?"
"I am but I'm also a little nervous for some reason. I don't know if its about be pregnant or something else but I'm ready to have a baby."
"Well maybe its just your younger self-coming out because you said that you didn't want kids right?"
"Yeah, but with Morgan, I want a family I want little Morgans running around. I want to take them to hockey practice watch their games."
"I can tell you and Morgan are both ready to be parents and I think that little one is very lucky to have you too." Lucy takes my hand in hers and gives it a little squeeze.
I zone out a little looking at the window just thinking about Morgan with our baby and couldn't help but smile.
"Okay beautiful are you ready?" I didn't even notice that we arrived.
"Yes, let's go!"
Lucy followed me into the build. I went to go check in. It didn't take long for them to call me back. I was sitting in the chair waiting for the doctor to come in Lucy was standing right next to me with her hand on my shoulder.
"Y/N Rielly?" a doctor walked into the room smiled at me and Lucy. "I'm Dr. Johnson I will be your doctor."
"It's nice to meet you."
"How long have you two been together?" Dr. Johnson asked. while sitting down getting ready. I was little taken back wasn't really expecting her to ask Lucy and I if we were together.
"We aren't together. My husband doesn't know that I'm pregnant yet I am surprising him later."
"Oh, I am so sorry."
"It's alright."
"I am going to put this on your stomach and we are going to take a look at your baby okay?" I nodded while lifting my shirt. Lucy moved her hand from my shoulder to hold my hand. We waited for the doctor to show us the baby on the screen.
"Congratulations you are pregnant." I felt tears in my tears and couldn't help but smile. "And your having twins." I looked at her and then Lucy.
"Wait what?"
"Your going to be a mom of twins." with that the work works started. "I will finish up and take a few pictures that you and take home and then you can make your next appointment at the front next then you can go home to tell your husband." I nodded not able to speak.
"Y/N you're going to be a mom to twins." I looked up at Lucy to see that she too had tears in her eyes. I just smiled and laughed.
I wasn't expecting twin but is anyone ever expecting twins? I don't know how I'm going to tell Morgan I'm having twins. I was ready to tell him I was having one baby but two?
"Y/N are you okay? You haven't said one word since we left."
"Yeah, just a little shocked still. I knew how I was going to tell Morgan about having a baby but now I have to think about how I am going to tell him we are having twins." We pulled into the driveway and saw that Morgan's car was in the driveway. "He's home early."
"Jake is going to be with him. I will tell him we have to get home if you want to tell Morgan alone."
"No, I think he would like the both of you there. I will just go up to get the thing I was going to use to tell him we were having one baby and just tell him we are now having two."
We walked into the house and I went preaching for Morgan. Lucy and I ended up finding Morgan and Jake in front of the TV.
"Hey babe what are you doing home early?" I walked over to him get got up to give me a hug.
"I missed you and couldn't wait to get home to you but you weren't here. Where did you two go?"
"We were out shopping but didn't find anything." I looked over at Lucy and saw her smiling at me. I couldn't wait any longer I had to tell Morgan.
"Wait here I have something for you." I walked out of the living room and into our bedroom to find the bag that had the t-shirt I put for the baby that said hello daddy and I will just show him the pictures from the doctor that says baby A and baby B.
"Sweetheart you didn't have to get me anything."
"Oh yes, I did. Now here you go." I handed him the bag. He smiled up at me and started to open it. Jake walked over to his side to see that it was. I was focused on Morgan's face couldn't wait to see it when he read the shirt.
"What is this?" He pulled it out and read it. "Wait are you?"
"Pregnant? Yes, I am!" He dropped the bag and pulled me into a hug. "Wait there's more." I walked over to my bag pulled out the pictures. I looked at them before giving them to Morgan and smiled. I turned and gave them to Morgan. He looked at them and smiled.
"We are going to have a baby!" I don't think he says the baby A and baby B. He went over to Jake to show. I just want him to see that we are having twins.
"Dude no way." Jake looked a little closer and I think he says both. "Two?" Jake looked at me and I was looking at Morgan who took the picture out of Jake hand looked at it again.
"We are having two babies?"
"Baby we are having twins." I smiled at him. I felt the tears rolling down my cheeks when I saw tears in Morgan's eyes.
"Twins." he smiled a the picture.
