Steve sat in the middle of his bed, very closely watching a black spider sitting on the wall near the doorway. He'd been in that position for the last 30 minutes, not daring to try and walk out of the door in case the spider jumped on him. From where Steve was sitting, the spider looked huge but in reality it was only a daddy long legs, completely harmless.

"Steve! I'm back!" He heard Bucky call out from wherever he was. Steve sent Bucky to the shops to get some food because Steve was hungry and there was nothing "good" in the kitchen. That was a little over an hour ago when he didn't know the spider was there.

Steve didn't respond, afraid that if he made too much noise, the spider would move. "Steve?" Bucky called out again, Steve stayed quiet. "Where the fuck are yo- there you are!" Bucky said, swinging the door to their shared bedroom open. Steve just slightly nodded, his eyes still glued to the spider on the wall that was moving due to Bucky swinging the door open with quite a lot of force.

Buckys eyebrows knitted together in confusion as to why Steve hadn't said a word. Bucky walked over to Steve who didn't move nor talk. Bucky waved his hand in front of Steve's face but he only blinked.

Bucky followed Steve's gaze to the spider sitting on the wall. "Shit!" Bucky yelled, jumping onto the bed with Steve. "Why the fuck didn't you tell me!?" Bucky yelled again, flicking Steve's head. "Shut up! You're gonna make it move again!" Steve yelled back, slapping Buckys thigh. "You dick, that hurt!" Bucky hissed at Steve who shrugged.

Due to the noise and sudden commotion in the room, the spider moved again. Steve and Bucky watched it move, holding their breath in hopes it wouldn't come any closer to them. When the spider stopped moving again it was only a foot or two from the floor.

Steve jumped up and pushed Bucky in front of him, trying to get further away from the spider. "Steven!" Bucky screamed as Steve snorted, he hadn't heard Bucky scream in many, many years. "I don't wanna be near it!" Steve yelled, shoving Bucky forwards again. "I don't fucking wanna be near it either!" Buckys eyes narrowed as he looked back at Steve and shot him a glare which Steve ignored.

From your room across the hall you could hear them yelling. "Why don't you just kill it!?" Steve shouted at who you guessed was Bucky. "Why don't you!?" Bucky yelled back. You then heard a heavy thud followed by very loud cursing in Russian.

You folded the corner of the page you were reading and tossed it aside, getting up and walking out of your room and across to Steve and Buckys. You opened the door to see both of them sitting on the bed, eyes glued to the floor. Following their gaze, you saw the spider on the floor. You rolled your eyes and looked around the room for something to catch it with.

You walked over to Steve's desk and emptied out the cup full of pens and ripped a clean page from one of Steve's drawing pads. Upon finding the spider, who hadn't moved, you walked over and put the cup over it. You heard sighs of relief come from behind you and turned to see Bucky and Steve who had visibly relaxed.

"Oh my god you princess. The Winter Soldier and Captain America are scared of spiders. Spiders" you teased and slid the paper under the cup. "In our defence, it looked a lot bigger from where we were sitting" steve said as Bucky nodded sheepishly. You rolled your eyes playfully before picking up the paper and cup, turning it upside down so the spider would be stuck in the cap. You threw the paper towards Bucky and Steve, both of them scrambling away from the piece of paper.

You laughed before walking out of their room and to the closest door to the outside so you could release the spider.

Meanwhile, Bucky and Steve were looking at the spot the spider had been in, only moments ago. "Why didn't you use your arm to squash it?" Steve asked, turning to Bucky whose cheeks turned red. "I was scared that it'd move, run up my arm and under the metal plates and be in my arm and I wouldn't be able to get it out" Bucky said quietly, looking at the floor as Steve tried to stifle a laugh.

Bucky noticed and shoved Steve causing him to stumble and fall on the floor. Laughter erupted from Buckys lips as Steve lied on the floor and whined about how it wasn't fair.
