Love on the Battlefield

You were pretty good at shooting them. Thinking back to the memory, you smiled. Hiccup had been there giving that his dad was gone and Gobber had to watch him. Every time you missed Hiccup would encourage you to try again. When you finally had, he ran up and hugged you, making you smile. That was the first time you smiled since your parents had died.

You shook your head and smiled at the memory one last time. Then, loading one arrow, you sat behind some rocks near the entrance and waiting for something to happen. As you did you shook, scared for what laid ahead. You turned when something bumped you. Looking into the large eyes of Makeshift. At least she would be here. You kissed her noise and gave her a quick scratch before going back to your position.

Hiccup's P.O.V
Ok, I'm not going to lie. I felt horrible leaving (y/n) there, but I had to do something to try to get Drago, Alvin and the rest of them to leave. I flew into the air on Toothless to get a better look of the place. There weren't as many ships from before. But the few that were there had tons of men on the deck.

I flew near the top not wanting to be seen by anyone and pulled out my telescope. Looking around at the different boats, I first came across Cnut. If he was on that boat then Vali probably was too. "Ok, bud, let's land over there by that boat. Stay out of sight." The dragon grumbled but did as it was told and flew down toward the boat. We landed near a rock, and I waited for this Drago bloody fist guy to come out.

After waiting for what seemed forever, I finally heard footsteps and sat up slightly. Looking over the rock, I saw it was Alvin. It wasn't the guy I was looking for, but it would be a good start. "Come on, bud. Lets go." Toothless grumbled and resisted to go out. "Come on, he's right there."

With a little more convincing, he finally let me back up, and I jumped out at him. He jumped and eyed me closely. "Hiccup? Oh this is too easy!"

"Hello Alvin. I would like to see Drago." I wasn't all that surprised to hear him laugh at me. "And why would you want to do that?" Taking a deep breath, I continued feeling slightly nervous. "I want to talk to him about this whole war thing."

"Oh my dear boy, no one just talks to Drago. But if you really want to see him, then by all means." He put his hands out and gestured to the inside of the ship. I knew it was a trap. "Well, I was thinking more like he comes out here. I'm sure that will make us all comfortable." He opened his mouth to reply but never got to speak. My eyes looked up and gazed into the ones of the man I saw earlier on the other island.

"Drago?" I whispered to myself eyeing the man. "Is that Hiccup?" He asked Alvin. The man nodded and seemed to step down. "Well, I'm going to be honest with you Hiccup, I thought you were smarter than that to just give yourself away. Or are you taking up my offer?" I shook my head. "I've come to talk to you about this whole war that's going on. What do you want?"

"I want your dragons. And I want to make a dragon army. And you know, it would be surely be a shame to have your dragon master blood spilled. Why don't you join me? Then we could both take over." He smiled and held out his hand as if wanting me to take it. "No, I would never join you. And dragons aren't like that. There are amazing and gentle creatures and you-"

"Save it. I'll show you true power. True control over a dragon." I gave him a confused look as he started to yell and shout at me. And soon I saw a dragon come up out of the water. "The alpha." I watched as he came up through the water looking down at Drago. The dragon gave him a look. Then turned towards me as Drago pointed at me. "This, my dear Hiccup, is what it's like to own a dragon." Before anything could happen, I patted Toothless to take off. He did right as an icy blast came from the dragon. It followed me as I continued, and I heard a voice calling me. It was my dad.
