stutter {bucky}

y/n sat on the corner of her favorite coffee shop, enjoying the book that she was reading

bucky sat on the opposite side of the coffee shop, eyeing the beautiful girl across the room

"buck, just go for it" steve, bucky's bestfriend, pushes

bucky shakes his head "there's no way she would ever want to go out with me"

"you don't know if you don't try" steve says

bucky decides that he's going to do

after all, he's got nothing else to loose

y/n is almost done with her chapter when she sees someone walking over to her

she takes in his breath taking appearence

shoulder length brown hair, piercing blue eyes, stubble, and what appears to be a metal arm

he looks familiar, but y/n just can't seem to remember his name

"is this seat taken?" the guy asks nervously

y/n shakes her head, motioning for him to sit

bucky smiles, hopeful

maybe she will be the one to actually go out with him

"so what are you reading?" he asks

y/n closes the book and allows him to read the cover

bucky nods, now not so sure that she likes him

perhaps she thinks that he's annoying and hoping that he will go away

y/n sets her book down and takes a slow sip of her coffee, curiously looking at the man across from her

she sets her mug down and sends him a smile, which he gladly returns even though he still feels like a nusence

"sorry, you probably think i'm annoying. i'll just um go" bucky says, nervously standing up and walking to the other side of the coffee shop

y/n frowns, knowing that she scared him away because she didn't speak to him

she really thought that bucky was cute and very nice, so she decided to get up and find him

with her book in her hand, she nervously walks over to where the handsome stranger sat, now frowning at his friend

y/n nervously clears her throat, causing both men to look at her

bucky looks at her in shock as y/n goes over what she's about to say over and over again in her head

"h-h-hi, my name i-i-is y/n. i-i-i'm sorry t-that i d-d-didn't say a-anything. i-i-i'm very i-insecure about m-m-my s-stutter" y/n says, cursing at the world for being born with this stupid stutter

bucky smiles widely, finding her stutter adorable

"it's nice to meet you, y/n. my name is bucky" he says, not being able to wipe that huge smile off his face
