"tony" i say, walking through the stark towers

he texted me and asked me to meet him upstairs, but that could be anywhere

all of a sudden, i feel someone grab me and whisper "boo" in my ear

i smile and turn around in his arms

"hey" i whisper, my face inches away from his

"hi" he whispers back

i peck his lips "so what do you need me for?"

he smiles and releases his arms, grabbing my hand and leading me to his lab

"i want to show you my new suit" he says, pressing a button

i watch as the floor opens up and a cylinder tube is shot upwards

it opens and displays a blue and grey iron man suit

i smile "that's really cool"

he nods, proud of himself

"it's got new upgrades and everything. it even has-"

i zone out, watching how excited he is as he rambles on

"for real, just go out with me" the waiter begs for the hundredth time

"no thank you" i say, waving him off again

just then i hear a girl scream "oh my god is that tony stark?"

natasha wiggles her eyebrows at me as i watch him walk over to us

he stops at our table, everyone's eyes on us

"hey babe" he says, a cocky smirk on his lips

"i'll leave you two alone. rain check" natasha says walking away

i sigh as he sits in front of me

i roll my eyes at him "at least take off your sunglasses. you look ridiculous"

he smiles and takes them off, setting them on the table

"so, where's this guy that won't leave you alone?" he asks

i groan, knowing nat texted him

"he's our waiter. you'll see him eventually"

a few minutes later, the waiter comes back

"hey beautiful- woah you're tony stark" he says, shocked

"yes and you're the guy who won't leave my girlfriend alone"

the guy looks down nervously "i-i'm sorry. i won't do it again"

tony nods "good, now bring us what she ordered so we can take it to go"

he nods, scrambling to the kitchen

i shake my head at tony as he shrugs

"that seriously wasn't necessary" i say, walking into the stark tower

"yes it was babe, he wasn't leaving you alone"

"okay, but i was handling it"

he kisses my cheek "i know you were, but i handled it better"

i groan, walking off annoyed

this is the third time this week that he's done something like this

it just makes me mad

i can handle myself

i was doing fine all those years before i knew him

i walk into my bestfriend's room, glad that he's not busy

"hey y/n, what's wrong?" he asks

i sigh and  lay on the bed next to him "tony"

he nods, knowingly "he's just protective of you because he cares about you"

"i know, steve, but that's the third time this week"

"it's excessive, but love makes you do crazy things"

i nod, knowing he's right

"thanks steve" i say, pulling him into a hug

"anytime, y/n" he says, hugging me back

the door opens but i don't care, when i hug steve, it feels like all my problems go away

"are you kidding me? you get mad and get all buddy buddy with another guy" tony screams

i pull away from steve's hug, looking at tony "no, i'm not like that and you know it. steve is my bestfriend which you also know"

he sighs, shaking his head, still mad "why can't you have a girl bestfriend?" he mutters to himself

"because natasha is the only other girl here and she pisses me off half the time" i answer, even though he didn't ask for one

"just please come with me" he says, looking up at me

i sigh and wave goodbye to steve as i take tony's hand and let him lead me wherever

he leads me to his room and closes the door behind us

i sit on the bed and he joins me

"baby, you know i love you. and i'm sorry that i make you mad when i show up and tell other guys off, but it's my job. you're all mine and i don't want any other guys thinking of you like that"

i roll my eyes "tony, you can't control what everyone is thinking"

he nods "i know that, but i also know that i definitely scared them off"

i nod

"just please say you forgive me. i wouldn't be able to live without you" he begs

i smile and kiss his lips "i love you"

he smiles into the kiss "i love you too"

at that moment, i realize that tony's never begged anyone for anything

not even to me before

he's always confident and cocky, but at that moment, i was his weakness

i smile to myself

tony stark, a billionaire, who's cocky and confident and never says sorry, has a weakness

and it's me
