Her soul drowned in shock she couldn't believe what she just read. It was jawdroping news, she immediately ran back into the house to catch a deep breath and call Bertha to confirm about the death. She went to Bertha's place to check up on her and catch the full story. She found her quite fine about the situation, it was odd for someone to not be in grief after a colleague had passed especially in such manner. "Hey!I saw the headlines this morning and it's quite sad since I liked the woman you know!" She said this with a sad face. "Well, I don't see the point in sulking in pain over someone who can't see our reactions to her death so yeah life goes on" she said this in a straight and numb face.

Apparently investigations were still being carried out at the inn so in the next 3 days they had to wait to get back to work. "Anyway who do you think might have done this? I mean the lady had no bone of contention" Lindah asked as she scratched her head gently. "I don't really know to be honest atleast she died in harnes she was not feathering no one's nest, its honourable! Do you want Salami?" She said this with a grain of salt. "Nope, am good anyway let's hope the perpetrator is put behind bars, anyway I just wanted to check up on you so I better head back before mom calls " she bent over to tie her mercurial shoe laces.

Two weeks had now passed without anything being said to the public about the murder. One thing caught Lindah's attention was what Bertha had told her about a new position available at the Inn. Due to the passing of the receptionist it meant they needed someone to fill up the position and Bertha had already told the Human Resource Manager that she had a friend who would love to work there. It was an offer she couldn't resist for her since she had no job and nothing to do. The only problem was her mother as she refused to let her work at a place that was a homicide two weeks back. Lindah ended up convincing her with the help of her best friend Bertha. Finally she would get to work and not only that but to work beside her best friend and her crush, it was ecstasy to her.

On her first day she was welcomed by most of the staff in the Inn including a warm hug from Sebastian, which was the highlight of her first day at work. The manager showed her were she would work which was obviously in the ground floor. It gave her creeps at first but ended up settling in just well. "Hey you!so how is your first day here?Am pretty sure it sucks right?" Sebastian asked with a deep manly voice, with his white teeth flashing like a spotlight. "Huh haha it's fine I guess" she cracked a nervous laugh like she was standing centre stage in a large crew. "Okay if everything is cool am cool! Let me go check up on Matt at the gate. Catch you later...ohh and one thing always hit that red button under your desk if you need help or anything " he said this as he rolled up his sleeves in his tight,close-fitting and skintight shirt. Flattered but puzzled she asked, 'I don't understand the button part...does it call you in your phone or what'. 'Ohh my God hahaha no dummy it calls the guard on duty at the gate haha you know I actually can't believe you asked that haha you are a funny one..bye Lin ' he laughed softly as he saw himself out. Surely she felt embarrassed but looking at the bright side called her Lin, which went on and on her mind.

'What was that about?' Bertha comes out of the blue grimly. 'Ohh Berth...it was nothing, I was giving him some papers' she replies in a puppet voice. 'Buuut he has no papers with him' she asks like a detective in an interrogation room. 'Ohh sorry where is my mind ?I told him there was no papers here' she nervously lied to Bertha because she knew she was the jealous type. It was 1600hrs and Bertha's shift was over and she had to rush home to catch her favourite tv show. Lindah had to wait until 2000hrs to knock off as she is the only receptionist and it was a busy day so she had to wait for some paperwork and welcome guests.

Around 1945hrs she was putting some of the mail at the dark storage room which had no lights, the only visible thing to see was the lights that were on in the passage that were not so bright. As she finished putting the mail in their respective boxes up the shelves she suddenly had this creepy feeling that someone was in the room with her she had a chilly filling around her neck as she stepped back and turned over to the door she saw a man standing by the door with lights flashing on and off. She became pale and her hair raised all over her body.

'Well, it seems like I have hit the Jackpot today' the man said with an evil smirk and a bold "Hunter "tattoo on his old greasy face!
