"Just wear the fucking flower crown."

"I'm not going to wear the fucking flower crown."

"Please Levi."

"No, it's probably filthy from being on the ground so long."

"It's a flower crown, what's it going to do to you!?" You pleaded while delicately gripping the nature infused head ornament.

The four of you were in a field, and by four of you I mean Isabel, Farlan, and of course, Levi.

The four of you had taken today as a day of "relaxation". You and Levi planning to go on another picnic, since there's so much to do in the underground. Sarcasm intended. And out of sheer boredom Isabel and Farlan had pestered the two of you to tag along. You were more than happy for them to come, but your lover was a bit more hesitant. But after a swift talk with him, (within their earshot) he begrudgingly accepted, adding something that resembled "if we start making out then it's your fault for coming."

The moment you four arrived at your designated spot, you and Isabel immediately set up. And by set up I mean hastily opening up the red picnic blanket and busying yourselves with the various assortment of flowers that surrounded the field.

The "men" in the group watching intently while you and Isabel weaved an array of purples, whites, yellows, and blues into the shape of a small crown.

In the end Farlan had graciously accepted Isabel's flower crown, while Levi kept darting past your advances on trying to place the small ornament on top of his head.

"It's not going to bite!" Cheered Isabel; watching on intently with a large grin on her face.

"Yeah it will, the colors are so bright because they're hungry." Teased Levi with the straightest of faces.

Isabel shrieked and immediately swatted the crown off of Farlan's head.

You giggled as Farlan scrambled to pick up the crown; the flowers coming away and falling to the picnic blanket.

You turned your attention back to Levi, "I made this just for you Levi, and now you don't even want to..." You trailed off as the flower crown began to slightly shake in your trembling hands.

His stoic expression stared at you in confusion before his face literally melted. "Hey...-"

You forced the tears to come forward and soon they were streaming down your cheeks. "I-I just wanted to-" you began stuttering and you swore you saw Levi literally break.

"Here," he said grabbing the flower crown in a gentle hand and placing it delicately on top of his head. "Better now?" He said softly and sympathetically in hopes of making you feel better.

Your eyes lit up once seeing the colorful crown adoring your boyfriends head. With a huge grin you wiped the remains of the forced tears from your eyes and giggled. Leaning forward you pecked his cheek. "Thank you love." You said with a sparkle in your eye.

He stared at you in disbelief while the sound of Isabel and Farlan's muffled laughter reached your ears. "You were faking it!" He said in bewilderment.

You laughed in response, the picture of stoic and emotionless Levi with slightly wide eyes and messy flower crown on his head was to much.

"You little shit...!" He said shooting forward and wrapping his arms around your waist. He quickly stood up, carrying you bridal style and spinning around. It was then did you realize he was laughing to, along with you Isabel and Farlan.

It was also then did you realize what true happiness and love felt like.

An indirect flashback 🌚, the next chapter will be a small timeskip so this is just a dream reader had.

And levi in a flower crown was just necessary.
