Chapter 7

You sat up in your bed, so quickly that your head started to swim. Your hand immediately flew to your shoulder, feeling for something, anything that would prove what just happened was all just a sick dream.

Your fingers trailed lightly over the skin which in turn; was slick with sweat. Your fingers brushed over your collar bone and over to the top of your shoulder.

You paused, This is stupid. You thought once you'd calm down a bit. It was nothing more than a dream. Your hand hovered over the area where you had been so vividly 'shot'. But...why did it feel so real?

With an internal sigh, you touched your shoulder.

Your hand immediately recoiled the moment you felt the slightly raised skin. Scrambling to the side, you opened your nightstand drawer; swiftly pulling out the tiny hand mirror you had conveniently placed there the previous night.

In the slightly dim moonlight that had begun seeping through your closed window, you stared slightly horrified at the small circular scar in the middle of your shoulder. Once more your now slightly shaking fingers brushed against the flesh. But....how?

Your head began to slowly throb, the headache that was there when you had gone to sleep was still present. But nonetheless, you casted your mind back. Back to your childhood, back to your trainee days, back to your latest expeditions, back to anywhere. Trying to find the reason for the scar. You casted your mind back further more, only to be hit with the sudden feeling that you were forgetting something. Something very important.

Your head began to throb furthermore, and not wanting to risk a migraine in the morning you let your thoughts slip away. But still remaining dumbfounded, you threw your legs over the side of the bed. The feeling of being tired had escaped you, and to be honest, tea was the only thing that could help regain it.

Since it was around 1am, you decided to go to the cafeteria, in nothing but your black tank top and sweats. You had figured no one would be around so it was safe to go out dressed so 'unprofessionally'.

And as you began walking down the slightly chilly hallways, the feeling of you forgetting that one important thing weighed heavily on your shoulders. It began irritating you. It began irritating you quite a lot.

"C'mon (f/n) think!" You murmured softly while turning the corner which led into the fairly large dining area.

You were met with a bright candle light, and a figure slightly slumped in the seat in front of you. A survey corps jacket was draped across the back of the chair, and you could just barely see the pile of paperwork that had unpleasantly sprawled itself across the wooden table.

You were just about to turn around and walk back to your quarters but in the dim light you could just make out the sight of a tea pot. Steam still rose from the nozzle and you felt your mouth begin to dry. Tea.....

"I hear your ridiculously loud breathing back there, might as well show yourself." Spoke the suddenly loud voice. The tone was groggy, almost sounding as if the person the voice belonged to was sleep deprived.

But nonethless the sound caused you breathe out a small sigh of relief. At least it's not anyone important, you thought to yourself.

Well I mean he is important, quite important actually, being humanities strongest is important right? Yeah, he is important; very important, but like not so important to me or anything.. But he's my friend, so that makes him important to me, just a friend though. Just a friend.

Wait a minute, we're talking about Levi here. Levi whatever the hell his last name is since he didn't have the guts to tell me yet. But back to the point, Levi's the man from my dream. The man who ever so valiantly saved me from that douche with the gun.
