Chapter 1 (5 years later)

That slight tap on your door was all it took for you to shoot yourself out of bed.

You shot up and out of bed, your long t- shirt swishing above your bare thighs. It's been a bit of a habit of yours to sleep pant less, and surprisingly no one knew you did it.

Standing you grabbed the pair of pants that you had thrown over the small couch in your room, then doing your best "I was awake the whole time" voice, you called out to the person waiting outside. "Who is it?" There was a short pause before an emotionless voice spoke. "Oi, (f/n) you up yet?"

Levi. Corporal Levi to be exact. Your squad leader and the second closet thing you'll ever have as a friend.

He was the first person to greet you when you signed up for the survey corps a few years ago. And Ever since that, the two of you had been going by first name basis, that is, only when the other cadets weren't around. As Levi had a special reputation to keep. "Of course I'm up, why would I be replying you if I wasn't up?" You replied slightly irritated by the fact that it was only Levi who woke you from your light slumber.

"No." He threw back, "you were asleep but my knock on the door woke you up. (F/n) your as terrible at lying as you are at cleaning." You could sense the small smirk in his voice. "Oh shut up..." You murmured clearly not expecting him to hear. The man did his "famous" tongue click. "I heard that brat." He paused, "clean up and get dressed, we have training in an hour and you still haven't eaten." His voice was calm and leveled, almost happy. You could hear his footsteps begin to slowly fade away as he left you to your own devices.

With a groan you entered your washroom and freshened up, the warm water of the shower washing away the tiredness from your body.

You came out in nothing but a towel and looked at the uniform sprawled out on your bed. The white jeans, harnesses, and jacket.

Your fingers brushed against the wings of freedom emblemed on the back of the sandy colored jacket. The thoughts of your two years worth of training just to get here not escaping your mind. "I can't believe I did it..." You murmured disbelief and pride plastered upon your damp face.

Caught up in your thoughts you failed to notice the slight knock on your door. By the time you realized someone was outside, the person had already turned the doorknob and was entering the room. "Hey (f/n) I w-" Eren's voice was cut off as he realized your state of attire.

"Dammit Eren!!" You practically yelled, gripping the fairly small towel tighter around your body. "Ah-um I-." Eren stuttered slamming his hands over his eyes, "I'm going to go-wait o-outside." He mumbled as the boy's face flushed with embarrassment. Nearly running into a wall in the process, the titan-shifter made his way out of your room. Leaving a blush filled and embarrassed you to get ready.
