Chapter 2
Eren and you awkwardly walked with each other to the cafeteria. The "incident" of him seeing you half naked still fresh in your minds, and every topic seemed to some how lead to it. "So, Eren." You began, "what did you want to tell me about?" Eren gave you a slightly confused look in response. Letting out an irritated groan you continued, "Ya'know, you were about to tell be something before you barged into my room." A teasing smirk played at your lips.
Eren's face swelled up with a deep red color. "I said I was sorry..." He said sheepishly, provoking a small giggle from you. "It's fine, lighten up will ya?" You gave him a slight dig in the ribs, causing the sudden blush to slowly disappear from his face. "So, you were saying?"
"Oh, right. I came in the room to ask of you could be my sparring partner after breakfast."
It was Monday, and Lance corporal shorty had made sure you had your weekly schedule embedded into your head. Mondays were hand-to-hand combat days, which surprisingly you were pretty good at. Of course, being partners with Jean was an advantage, since he couldn't lift a foot without stumbling into something. You and Eren had joked around saying his horse like face was too big for him to see the ground below him. Which provoked an angry snort from the tall man, and a snort of laughter from the two of you.
"Yeah, sure." You reply, "but what about Mikasa?" Eren and Mikasa were like an inseparable duo, without the exception of Armin. Wherever Eren went Mikasa followed, you and everyone around them had occasionally teased them about it, but the dark looks the raven haired girl threw at everyone were sure to shut you up.
"Oh. Mikasa and you are switching, she'll be going against horse face." A giggle escaped your lips as you imagined Jean trying to land a punch on the fast moving girl.
The sounds of low chatter and plates clattering filled your ears as you and Eren arrived at the cafeteria. It wasn't much of a cafeteria, it was just a room with a few long tables with benches and a small kitchen where you prepared your own food.
Thankfully the cadets had agreed one person shall cook each day, both breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You didn't know who had prepared your meals, but you could care less. As long as you had a stomach full.
Grabbing a tray full of a few slices of buttered bread and potatoes, you took a seat besides Armin. Across from both Mikasa and Eren. "I bet Sasha cooked our food." Said Armin softly, throwing a glance at the potato girl at the end of the table. "At least we have some food." You murmured tucking into your breakfast.
Your (e/c) eyes drifted over to your fellow soldiers. Every single face being recognizable to you. Ymir and Christa sat besides each other on the table across from you, Ymir's arm thrown over Christa's small shoulder. They were giggling, and you saw Ymir wipe a bit of crumbs off of the petite girls mouth. Just get a room already you thought to yourself. Shifting your gaze, you found Jean-no, horse face, staring at Mikasa. His chin resting on the palm of his hand, as he gazed dreamily into the raven haired girl.
"Aye, Jean." You whispered leaning towards him. A table and a small walkway separated the both of you. "What do you want (f/n)." He murmured not diminishing his gaze. "If you stare any longer she might pop your eyes out." You said with a small smile. "Thanks for the wonderful f*cking advice." He shot back, turning away.
You smirked and finished off your meal, listening in on the small chatter of your friends. Teasing Jean was one of the highlights of your day, along with sparring. Despite all the groans and complains you hear the other cadets make about going hand-to-hand against each other, you actually liked it. Enjoyed it even.
The rush of energy/adrenaline was always an excitement for you, and showing off your combat skills was even better. And with corporal Levi watching, that just made you want to work harder.
Taking a sip of tea from your mug, your eyes glanced around the room. Your (e/c) eyes finally landed on the table where your 'superiors' sat.
Hanji, whose back was turned to you, was ecstatic. Her hands fiddling with a napkin, and her round glasses pushed up to her head. You couldn't hear what she was saying, but you knew it was probably something about titans. Her obsession was unnerving, for you and your fellow cadets. You gave a sigh and looked across form her to Erwin. His head was lowered slightly and his thumb and pointer finger were pressed against the bridge of his nose. He was seemingly (you couldn't tell how he managed to do it) dealing with Hanji's jabbering. The big man nodding occasionally as if to say 'yes im paying attention'. You smiled through your tea and looked at the figure beside Erwin.
His jacket Survey Corps jacket was draped over the back of his chair and his arm was resting over it. A hand was oddly holding his cup of tea as he half listened and half ignored Hanji's chattering. Levi's face was in that usual straight faced glare as one of his fingers drummed against the chair.
Yours eyes seemed to glance over to his shoulders/chest. By the way he was sitting, the white shirt that he wore was tightened and you could see the brief outline of his muscular body. Wow... You thought to your self.
As if reading your mind, Levi slightly turned his head in your direction. His eyes met yours and you nearly split your tea. Dammit! He saw me looking! Your eyes darted away as you set your tea down, you could feel a small amount of color rise in your cheeks. Dammit Dammit Dammit...
