I rushed downstairs.
I grabbed my shoulder bag and my lunch that was on the counter, in a brown paper bag.
"Bye Dad" I yelled as I ran out the door.
Before he could answer, I was running up the street to the bus stop. I got there just as my bus pulled up.
I got onto the bus last, gave the bus-driver my money and strolled to an empty seat by a window.
I stared out the window. This piece of glass was the only thing that kept the beach and I apart.
I could feel it longing me to join it in its cool ocean water.
The bus rumbled and drove down the rocky gravel road.
I sighed, knowing that I would be trapped inside for most of the day.
Even though I was relevantly smart, I hated school. I didn't have many friends and no one would rarely talk to me, unless they had too.
The bus stopped and everyone got off.
