*Maries pov*
I woke up early and got in the shower. Bang said while yes, I was going to be doing make-up for the majority of my job, I'll also be RM's assistant backstage during concerts and behind the scenes of video shoots. Bringing him water, doing make-up touch ups and sometimes a towel, nothing complicated.
I let the hot water pound onto my back, relaxing before my first day. I was nervous, considering I'd be around hot guys all day, but at least I already knew one of them. Jungkook seemed nice enough in the store, so maybe the rest of the guys were just as polite. I don't want to work for stuck up asses, because where's the fun in that?
I got out of the shower and wrapped a towel around myself. I decided on wearing pastel pink overalls with an oversized t-shirt and some converse. Simple but cute was my style, and I enjoyed it that way.
As I got dressed I repeated all the boys names so I wouldn't forget and be embarrassed. I tried remembering small details about them to go with the names so I had less of a chance to embarrass myself. I dusted on some light make-up and made my way to work.
~~~
My boss had texted me a location and said to be there by seven am sharp, so here I am. I walked inside to find lights, two cameras, some computers and monitors and more equipment around a decorated set. Off to the side were chairs, mirrors, more lights and make up sets; that's where I was going. I walked over to my station where a few other girls were situated, and sat down my bag, looking over all the expensive make-ups and tools I'd get to use. The other six girls confidently made there way over to me, huge smiles plastered onto their faces.
"You're the new makeup girl, right?"
I smiled, "Indeed I am."
Another girl from the back of the group piped up.
"Good luck with Namjoon, he's the clumsy type," she giggled, "try to not let him touch anything and be very careful!"
"Thanks for the tip."
"Also," another girl started, "get used to trying to apply make-up while they're sleeping. Their schedule is always busy so they take whatever rest they can get."
"Thanks," I said again, giving a friendly smile.
They all waved goodbye and went to their stations as people started to arrive in the studio. I could feel my hands getting clammy and my face heating up as more people entered the room. I patiently waited by the side of my station for RM to show up, nervous if he'd like me or not. Again, I don't know why his last makeup girl had to leave the job so let's hope I don't make the same mistake.
I jumped at the sudden sound of loud voices and laughing, and people started clapping and saying their hellos. The seven guys finally showed up around seven thirty and were ready for work. The group of them made their way over to the make-up area and they started taking their seats. I put on my best smiled as RM sat in his chair.
"Hi," he said before grinning. "Marie, right?"
"Yeah, thats me," I smiled.
I could feel my face getting hotter by the minute. I started to take out what I would need so I could get ready to work.
"Have you ever done make-up on a guy before?"
I laughed, "yeah, all the time."
I started patting some make-up on his cheeks and continued talking.
"My friend Edward would love it when I did his make-up, and he was often a test subject when I wanted to try new things."
"He seems like a cool guy," RM added when I was finished.
I turned to get some eyeliner and turned back around to see J-hope standing next to me.
"Oh, yeoboseyo." I smiled to him.
"Is Namjoon acting up any?" he laughed.
RM turned and smacked him upside the head, then continued to tell him to go back to his seat while laughing. He had a deep voice but a softer way of speaking, and it was very appealing. He faced me again and gave a nod. As I went to do his eyes I just couldn't stop looking at how pretty they were.
"I love your eyes," I said, still trying to focus on the make-up.
"Thanks, but they're not my best quality."
I frowned, "why not, they seem pretty good to me?"
He smiled, "I think the best part about me is my brain, a lot of people compliment how smart I am."
Jimin turned and looked at him while giggling.
"What's so funny?" RM asked shyly.
"You're a total clutz and the biggest dummy I know!"
RM just laughed it off and we didn't talk for the remainder of time that I did his make-up.
~~~
I watched as they all danced along to the music, perfectly in sync, singing along to the melodies. The song was now stuck in my head and I can admit it was a good jam. I learned that RM is one of three rappers in BTS, and the rest were normal singers.
When they called cut the boys ran back to the make-up station, sweaty and tired, and in need of touch ups.
"You guys are really good," I said as RM took his seat.
"Thanks!"
"Say, what's this song called?
"Fire," he smirked up at me, "You like it?"
"Totally!" I said as I did a few touch ups.
"Hey," he started, "I wanted to say thanks for joining the team. Would you wanna go out and celebrate it?"
My heart started pounding in my chest as my face flushed red, and luckily his eyes were closed at the moment.
"Yeah, that'd be cool. Thanks."
I can't believe I said yes! What have I set myself up for???
"Cool," he replied.
God, what was I going to do???
"How about tomorrow? I could take you to this really fun arcade I know, and we could go to this sushi restaurant near by, it has the best food ever!"
I grinned big and my face became even more flushed, "sounds good to me!"
oh no....
