"YES!" I shout, finally excited to graduate from make-up school.
It was the longest course I've ever taken, and it's something I'm really passionate about. On my social medias everyone loves my work and I'm recognized daily when I'm on the streets. It feels great to finally achieve something in life.
"Marie, hurry, your father is making seaweed soup to celebrate!"
"I'm coming." I say, after snapping away from my thoughts.
I turn around and tell my friend Edward goodbye, he had come to support me and he is my only best friend. I always did his make-up when his boyfriend wanted to take him out, and I even taught him some things so he could do his own make-up. He's the only one I told about my big plans after graduation.
"I'm proud of you Marie," he said. "I knew you could finish! You're so talented."
"Thanks Edward oppa, I have to get going now."
"Bye!"
I turn and run towards the car, getting in the back seat before my mom drives away. I guess tonight I'll have to tell them the big news.

Once we got home we took off our shoes and sat at the table, my father was still in the kitchen cooking dinner, singing along to his music.
"Yeoboseyo papa."
"Marie! Congratulations honey on graduating." He gave a gummy smile.
"Thank you, it was the hardest thing ever," I laughed.
"Why do I have to live with two dorks like you?" My mother giggled.
"INCOMING!" Said my father, as he brought the pot onto the table.
I went to grab bowls and spoons, helping set the table after a long day. As we ate I kept thinking about how I was going to tell them the news. I was getting so nervous and I couldn't hold it in any longer, then luckily the question came up.
"So hun," my mom started. "What are you going to do now that schools over?"
There was silence, I didn't know how to say it.
"Well, guys... I actually have some news."
"Unspoken plans?" said my father, "how long have you been hiding this?"
I gulped.
"I've known for a week and a half now, but I wanted to make sure I finished school before I told you guys," I said nervously. "I kind of already have a job, so in two days I'll be packing up and leaving..."
My father sat looking surprised, "You're leaving us? you don't even have an apartment or dorm yet you can't move out."
"My boss actually is proving housing for me, so you guys don't have to worry!" I smiled nervously.
"Well, what's the job?" my mother asked impatiently.
oh, here it goes...
"well... I'm going to do make-up for idols at BigHit Entertainment!"
