Moments after Connor calmed down and could talk again he decided to call his girlfriend Emily before he went to bed.
Emily answered. "Connor! Hey babe, what's up?"
"Hey Em! I was just getting ready to go to bed, so I decided to call you first" he said.
"Well, how was your day today, Con?"
He stuttered, "It- it was good, how was yours?"
"Mine was good, but wait, are you okay? You never stutter unless something is wrong."
"I'm alright baby, dont worry!"
"Okay Connor, whatever you say."
"Hey, I'm gonna go to bed, I'll talk to you tomorrow though, okay?"
"Alright Con, goodnight."
"Goodnight Em, I love you."
After he hung up, he shut his phone off, laid there in the dark, and closed his eyes slowly, scared of what he would see.
