"Wilted?" Tamani asked, shocked and horrified at the same time.
"I'm afraid so."
Tamani hung up after saying goodbye and he turned to Laurel.
"What's wrong Tam?"
"Jamison wilted..."
A tear traced it's way down Tamani's cheek.
"I can't believe it..." Laurel sighed. "I was hoping he would have lived longer."
"Yeah."
"Does this mean we have to move to Avalon."
"Yeah."
Another tear traced it's way down Tamani's cheek.
"Oh Tam."
Laurel was crying herself, but she comforted him. He buried his face in her shoulder.
"Tam. I'm so sorry. I know he meant a lot to you. He meant a lot to me too."
"He meant more to me than what comes across. He sort of was like a second father for me. He was the main reason I got to meet you again... I was grateful for all that he did for me."
"I know. I know..." Laurel said. "She brushed her hands through his hair as he sobbed. Laurel's tears wet his hair as she comforted him.
