Chapter 2 Announcement

Shawn POV

"You should tell the fans your getting married."My manager says to me on Tuesday. I lean back in the chair and look around the modern looking office and try to figure out what to say, "I didn't tell them that I'm engaged either, so why would I want to tel them that I'm getting married? They only know about Zoë and I dating which is fine with me. I don't need them to know about Skylar  although  paparazzi did see us at Disneyland she just annoyed him and he left." I laugh. "They will notice you buying a tux and flood you with questions on Twitter and Instagram."

"I'll just come up with something." " Fans don't like their idols lying to them." My manager says. "I don't want them to know about this aspect of my life! I want this to myself."  He sighs. " Can you just tell them by posting a picture of the wedding announcement? By the way, when are you getting married? He asks.  "August." " I think you're still on tour then." " Can I take a break to get married? " Shawn don't  take this the wrong way but you're only Twenty-one, don't you think it's too young? Maybe wait until your thirty and the hype dies down. I know when Zoë was having Skylar you had an album to promote, and now you have an album to still promote and a tour for the said album. "I know but I just think for Skylar's sake us getting married while she's still young is a good idea. She's six most of her friend's parents are married." 

" Most of them are thirty or forty." I frown. " You messed up by getting Zoë pregnant and thank god no one knows that you have a six-year-old." "I'm sure they probably do, and I'm glad she's not on the cover of some magazine at grocery store checkouts." " I'm just saying hold off on the wedding, you're on top of your game Shawn, you just did a week on the  Late Late with James Cordon and the fans loved it, you can't do that a few shows and then just drop off the radar." I blink my eyes look down at my watch.

"I want to be a good dad to my little girl, and a good soon to be husband, so if I need to put my career on hold for a week... I will." "But then you will have angry fans knowing you have been keeping a part of your life from them." "I don't want to show off my daughter or my wife right now." I say defensively." He sighs removing his glasses and rubs the bridge of his nose. " Think about this more ok?" "Right now you are the golden boy, you have done nothing wrong and I want to keep it that way." "I would think to marry your girlfriend that you had a kid with still doesn't ruin your image." I counter pushing my chair back before getting up.  "Think about it ok?"

"Okay" I leave the office and wait at the elevators. "What did he say?" Will asks. " To postpone the wedding and to tell the fans about Zoë and I having a kid. " I frown walking into the elevator. "The fans don't know you have a kid?" Will looks skeptical. " I mean maybe the know, but have said nothing about it. I just want to marry Zoë! I mean we have a kid together."  I fuss. The doors to the elevator slide open. Will sighs before speaking as he follows me out to the car." Shawn, your twenty- one wait a bit until Skylar is older maybe you still have years to do and albums to write, also just some advice if you do get married this young it may ruin your relationship, Zoë wants to go to school you have your career and  I know you two don't want to be getting a divorce two years from now."  I nodded walking out of the building and getting into the car.  "Yeah." I  press my cheek against the window watching the building fade from sight. "Maybe waiting is the best idea right now you get that?" Will says looking at me in the back seat. " I have to think about it." I mutter as I text Zoë.

Me: Hey, how are you?

 Zoë: Good just dropped Skye off at hockey practice, how did the meeting go?

Me: Well, my manager told me to wait  he said  I'm still young and that us getting married could hurt my career. He also said the fans should know about Skye, of course, I said no

Zoë: That's tricky im sorry babe, will you be home for dinner?

Me: Yep  I should be home soon

Zoë: Okay see you then
