"That's a big drop..." I mumble as I stare three stories down.
"Says the girl who literally jumps off of cliff the whole time." Grey huffs.
"But then there's water at the bottom!" I protest.
"Shhh, keep your voice down. We don't want that Adam dude bursting through the doors do we?" Grey asks.
"Ready?" Lisa asks from outside in the garden.
Grey checks the rope around my waist one last time before nodding to Lisa who holds the other end.
Grey waits for me to be over the window sill before she hands me Bell. If I'm leaving, than so is he.
Grey takes her spot at the bed post to guide the rope.
"Just walk down, Lisa and I got this under control." Grey reassures me. I give her a hesitant nod but start walking down the wall.
I have one hand to guide me while the other keeps the scared dog close to me.
I let out a sigh in relieve when my feet are on solid ground again.
I quickly place Bell on the ground, which he seems to appreciate, and untie the rope around my waist.
"It worked!" Lisa says. "I really though I was going to drop you." She laughs.
"Good to know." I say and give her a pointed look. She just shrugs and pulls the end of the rope up to the window.
I bent down and place my backpack on the ground. I call Bell over and place the small dog in along with a few of my belongings.
Bells head stays out and he looks very bewildered when I put the bag back on. He sniffs my hair and licks my ear from behind.
I can't help but laugh at the tickling sensation. However, my laughter is cut short when a familiar voice calls my name.
"Arabella?" The guy asks.
~The Guy's Point Of View~
I have been feeling anxious all night and I don't know why. Maybe it's the fact that we'll be leaving tomorrow. The fact that I don't know how Arabella will react when we actually reach my territory.
Will she try to run again? Or maybe she'll just ignore me forever.
She will probably never forgive me for destroying her live, because that is what I did.
My anxiety has me pacing around the house the whole night until I finally find myself outside.
The full moon shines brightly in a sky full of stars.
A delighted laugh sounds in the silence.
The laugh somehow fills me with warmth. I follow the sound to its origin only to be stunned by what I see.
Grey climbing down a third window, Lisa holding the rope to guide her down and Arabella in the grass all dressed up ready to go.
"Arabella?" Her name is a question on its own.
She spins around in surprise.
Light brown eyes stare back at me. She looks like a dear caught in the headlights of a car.
Grey jumps to the ground and unties the rope around her waist quickly.
"Run, Rebel, run!" She exclaim and the three of the bolt into action.
~Rebels Point of View~
We're running now.
A real cat and mouse chase. Me being an elderly mouse with a cane and the guy being a fit cat in the bloom of its live.
"Finn prepared an escape, he is waiting at the port." Lisa explains from my front left.
I'm breathing heavy and my legs struggle to carry my weight.
"Give me that dog!" Grey snap and takes the backpack from me.
We leave the forest behind and run down the streets. Grey manoeuvres us through small alley ways in an attempt to shake off the guy.
I'm too slow, he's gaining ground on us quickly.
"Start-" I gasp for air before I can continue my sentence, "Start the engine."
"I'm not leaving without you, that like the whole point." Grey protests.
"I'll swim after you," I say and keep pushing my body over its limits.
"Arabella, Wait!" the guy shouts from behind me.
"Fine!" Grey exclaims and easily speeds past us even with Bell on her back.
"Just a little longer." Lisa pushes. I take breath after breath after breath until I can smell the sea.
Soon enough the port comes into view.
I see a familiar face flash by on the jetty.
"I'll try to hold him back." Finn says as Lisa and I rush by but soon enough I hear a splash and know that Finn shouldn't have stood in the way of that Alpha.
I look behind me and see he's on my heals.
"Your almost there!" Lisa exclaims from right besides me as she stops running.
I push and push as I feel his presence behind me.
A hand hovers over my shoulder when I take one final step and leap into the water just in time.
