fixing your hair slightly, you look at the mirror before turning around to glance at you boyfriend, Jaehyun, who was walking back and forth because of how nervous he is.
you get up and sigh before cupping his face in your hands. he looks up at you and his eyes immediately soften.
"it'll be fine. don't worry" you try to reassure him
"but what if they don't like me? does that mean we'll have to break up?" he tenses up again
"they will love you. so stop thinking about the negatives and more about the positives." you lean in to peck his lips before turning to your bed and picking up your purse
"let's go or we'll be late" you hold out your hand which he gladly takes into his own as you both stride out of your apartment and into his car
you enter the location of the restaurant on the gps before he pulls out of the driveway and on the way you both go. while in the car, jaehyun keeps one of his hand on your thigh as you both talk about simple stuff on the way.
once you get there, he parks the car outside the italian restaurant. you get out of the car, waiting a few seconds for jaehyun to come around. once he does, he intertwines your fingers together before you both enter the restaurant.
once you do enter, you spot your parents sitting in the middle of the restaurant, you wave at them happily and begin dragging jaehyun towards them.
you hug your mom and then your dad immediately. jaehyun simply shakes there hands with a nervous smile on his face.
you take a seat on the table with your mom in front of you and jaehyun next to you.
"how have you been without me?" you ask your parents
"we've been fine. the house is a bit quiet without you but we have minah and minok coming over a lot" says your mom
"oh they still come around?" you ask kinda shocked
"they miss you" your mom informs
"who's minah and minok?" jaehyun asks you
"these kids in my old neighborhood. oh and mom, dad this is jaehyun. jaehyun this is my mom and my dad" you introduc
"annyeongshimika" jaehyun bows as your parents and they simply bow back
"it's nice to finally meet the boy who my daughter never shuts up about" your dad grins at you
"all good things i hope" jaehyun smiles politely
"absolutely. so, how long have you two been together?" asks you mom
"7 months and a half" answers jaehyun
"do you two live together?" asks your dad
"oh no but we live in the same apartment building. that's how we met actually" answer jaehyun again
"ha yeah we got stuck on the elevator together" you chuckle as you remember your first meeting
"well glad to see that you're both okay. now, jaehyun, what do you do for a living?" asks you dad
"oh i'm a ceo" he answers
"oh wow. that's great"
for the rest of the time, you were all talking and laughing. at one point, things got awkward. well for you.
"jaehyun what are you plans with my daughter?" asks you dad
"i want to marry her." jaehyun answers confidently
"marry her? what else?" asks you mom
"i want to have children with her and grow old with her" he answers
your parents look at you and you blush bright red. jaehyun smiles at you before pecking your cheek and holding your hand.
"do you wanna have kids with me?" he asks
you shyly nod which causes jaehyun to break out into a grin.
after dinner was over, you get back in the car with jaehyun.
