Stars

The stars made him feel less lonely
They reminded him of home
Of planets forgotten between the dust
Lost in time alone
Stars were his only friends
On those cold and chilly nights
When school days
Tired him out
And he had no strength to fight
Through the lenses of his telescope
Miles and miles away
Those little stars gave him comfort
And hope
In different ways.
