Chapter 1

Aliyah's POV

"I Don't want to leave my family and friends behind, I will be all alone in New York. How am I going to settle in? Make friends? I'm going to be so far away from my family but I need to go.

Aliyah done all her packing and meet her parents and sibling they hugged her and cried but she told them not to as when she comes back, she will be a doctor in sha Allah(If God wills) so they will be proud of her. She left for the airport where all her friends stood, they hugged her and cried but she will keep contact with them via social media etc. Twitter, Facebook and Skype.

She got on to the plane, she sat beside the window. She kissed her hand and put it beside the window and said, "I love you Scotland, I'll be back in a few years time". She started crying. As the plane was about to left off, A girl came and sat beside her. She introduced herself and said."Hi, My name is Shazia".

Aliyah replied,"Hey, My name is Aliyah".

Shazia : "Your from Scotland aren't you?".

Aliyah: "Yes, where are you from?".

Shazia : "I'm from London, I came here

as this was the only flight left, as heathrow airport is full".

Aliyah : "Oh so if you don't mind me asking why are you going to New York like for a holiday, Studies, to meet family?".

Shazia : "No I don't mind at all, I'm going to New York for studies and you?".

Aliyah : "I'm going to New York for studies too".

Shazia : "So what are you wanted to study?".

Aliyah : "Medicine, I want to become a doctor".

Shazia : "Oh my god, are we twins lol

I'm going to study the same thing".

Aliyah: "Really? oh my god what a coincidene".

They talked and talked throughout the whole flight and became best friends.

They finally arrived in New York, before getting up they exchanged numbers and added each other on social networks.

Aliyah : "Ok bye, Take care and see you soon".

Shazia : "Bye, you take care too and yeah call me at anytime".

Aliyah : "I will".

Aliyah arrives at the student accommodation place and got her keys and went to her room, she was told she had a roommate. Aliyah was excited but scared what if they don't get along.

Aliyah decided to call Shazia to see if she was ok when all of a sudden someone walked in with their phone ringing, Aliyah was wondering why Shazia wasn't picking up while the girl's phone was going off finally Shazia picked up the phone while the girl jumped on the bed, Aliyah turned to see who it was, it was Shazia.

Aliyah and Shazia both screaming with happiness, they couldn't believe they were roommates. Aliyah called her parents and told them everything, they were happy that Aliyah made a friend but they missed her very much, After Aliyah finished the call she started to unpack, when she was half way done she gave up and put on her pyjamas and went to sleep.
