Chapter 4
Nang makauwi ako sa bahay ay agad akong dumeretso sa kwarto ko. Hindi ko nakita ang kahit na sino sa mga kapatid ko marahil ay nasa sarili nilang mga kwarto.
Bago pa ako sumalampak sa kama ko ay naisipan kong lambingin muna ang aking batang kapatid na lalake.
"Baby Sean!" I called him from my doorway.
"Yeah?" sagot niya mula sa kaniyang kwarto, nag-ro-roblox na naman siguro iyon.
"Come here! Hug kita, dali!"
Seconds later, my lil bro went out from his room then ran towards me. He was wearing a charming smile.
"Huuuug~" he said cutely then hugged me. He's an eight year old chubby blob. Okay, he's not a blob anymore. In fact, may katangkaran na ito. But he's still my chubby little baby blob.
"Hey! Na-miss kita. Kiss ko?" I squatted in front of him then motioned my cheek for him to kiss.
"Mwa!" he kissed my cheek soundly and that made me hug him.
"Ginigigil mo 'ko! Cute-cute mo! Tara hug mo 'ko habang nag-wa-watch tayo ng anime," aya ko sa kaniya at agad naman siyang pumayag at pumasok sa kwarto ko.
Nakayakap lang siya sa'kin habang nanunuod kami ng Fairy Tail. Siya ang pumili noon at ginawa kong English dub ang setup kasi hindi niya maiintindihan ang Japanese at ayokong pahirapan pa siyang magbasa ng subtitles.
"Ate Pat," Sean called me in the middle of an episode.
"Hmm?" I answered.
"I'm Natsu," he said, smiling. Awwww.
"Talaga? Your hair isn't pink, though?" I teased him and he just pouted. Naku! Ang cute talaga!
"You're Lucy," dagdag niya na ikinataas ng kilay ko.
"I'm Lucy? Why? Because I'm super pretty?" I asked then wiggled my brows. My baby chuckled.
"Yeah, that's one of the reasons, pero kaya ikaw si Lucy kasi I will protect you. Ate Lena is Lissana and Mommy is Erza. I will protect all of you," he said then hugged me, tighter than usual. Nagtaka naman ako kung saan niya nahugot ang mga sinasabi niya.
"Why? Wala namang umaaway sa'min, ah?" I asked. I am confused by his words. Biglang lumungkot ang mukha niyang maaliwalas kanina.
"Daddy does. I heard him fighting with Mommy last night. He was screaming and angry, Mommy was also screaming but cried after a while. I remember him fighting with you, too, and Ate Lena. Why is he always angry, Ate Pat?" Nagbara ang lalamunan ko sa aking mga narinig. He really is growing up. He's starting to make sense with what is happening in this house.
I hugged him, not saying anything because I'm afraid I might choke on my words. I don't want my little brother to see me cry because that will confirm him that something really is wrong.
"'Di niya ba tayo love, Ate?" Sean asked, agad akong umiling.
"He loves us." The words taste bitter as they go out from my mouth. I don't know about that. Our father is... nevermind.
"You sure?" he asks.
"Yup. Watch na tayo ulit. Let's see if their guild will be able to save the world," I urged him and he nodded. Buti naman. I don't know if I can talk about my father without being spiteful or without breaking down.
Nagising ako nang may narinig akong sigawan sa labas. Nakayakap sakin si Sean, natutulog. Tumingin ako sa bintana at nakita kong gabi na. Ala sais y media na.
