Chapter 31
Work
Carls POV
It's Been two days since the gate broke and I am still working on it . My shirt is drenched with sweat from non stop work . I can't stop for any reason and if anyone goes near me I get in more trouble
I am thirsty and hungry but I can stop working . My muscles are sore and tired . I nail a board to the gate but then a walker grabs me through it . I reach for my gun but it falls to the ground .
"Shit!" I yell and punch it off me . I teach for my gun and shoot it . Then I get back to work .
I repeat the process;
Hold the wood in place
Grab nails
Hammer it to gate
When I finish the gate I walk to my house with Negan but he stops me
"Your not done" he says and smirks "you have to harvest all the wheat and bring it to the mill "
I sigh and I open my mouth to talk
"And if you talk you will do more work "
I harvest wheat all around the town and after 4 hours I finish . I bring 25 baskets of wheat to the mill
"Carl I'm sorry ... Negan said not to pay you..." The miller says and I walk to the house and again I get stopped by Negan
"Now..." He says and thinks "you have to get my lunch " he says and I get him his wheat bread with Ham
"Here Negan " I say and walk Into my room . Amanda wasn't there so I sigh ...I wanted her now.... I needed her....
I take off my shirt because it was drenched in sweat and I sit on my bed
