                                                  1. 그리고 = And 
오늘 친구를 만날 거예요 그리고 밥을 먹을 거예요.
I will meet my friend today and havr food with her.

만나다 (to meet)
밥 (food) 
먹다 (to eat)
                              2. 그래서 = So/Therefore
오늘 비가 왔어요 그래서 집에 있었어요.
It rained today so I stayed home.
오늘 (today)
비 (rain) 
오다 (to come)
집 (home)
있다 (to exist/to be at a place/ to have)
                              3. 근데 = By the way/but (shortened form of 그런데)
하국어 알아요?
아니요. 근데, 한국어를 배우고 싶어요. 
알다 (to know)
아니요 (no)
한국어 (Korean) 
배우다 (to learn)

                              4. 하지만 = However 
오늘 수업이 있었어요. 하지만 학교에 가지 않았어요 
I had a class today however/but, I did not go to school

가다 (to go)
지 않다 (negation)
