"Good morning Kiki" I say and I give her a kiss on her head. Her tiny hands reach for my earphones and I take one of them out them out.
"Have you seen mommy?" I ask her and bend down to her level.
"I'm right here!" Emma shouts. I follow the sound to the garden. It's a warm day for the beginning of spring and the whole pack is exited to go outside.
"Did you find the basket?" I ask Emma as I exit through the back door.
Emma pops up from one of the three brand new flowerbed. "I did." She says and points at the picnic table close to me.
"I even found an old blanket, I should really clean the garage it's a real mess." Emma sighs and turns back to the flowers.
I grab the basket and go back to the kitchen. There I fill the basket with the sweets I made yesterday.
I kiss Kiki goodbye after I put on my shoes and leave the house.
With the basket in my hand I sprint to the pack house.
When I finally arrive I'm out of breath. The run isn't long I'm just not the running type.
"You have arrived!" Lisa shouts. She stands in the door opening together with Mika and Elena, their arms filled with pillows blankets while Lisa holds a bag with the drinks.
I laugh at her excitement and show them the basket as they approach me. "I have come baring gifts."
"That smells so good." Mika comments and reaches for it.
I pull it away from his greedy little hands and shake my head. "We have to wait for the rest."
The four of us make our way to the open field close to the forest. It's not far from the pack house but it's never crowded.
We set everything up and sit down onto the pillows and blankets the others brought.
The drumming of paws announce the arrival of the others. Four wolves come sprinting over the open field towards us. Two identical dark wolves are racing with a bigger brown wolf while a smaller lighter wolf takes the lead.
The smaller wolf comes to a stop right in front of me and pushes my hat off with its snout.
"Was that really necessary Grey?" I ask her. She lets out a playful growl before running into the forest.
The other three arrive not much later, all out of breath.
"Beat by a girl? Again?" Mika asks the guys with a mocking smile.
Alex and Axel growl at Mika and stalk towards him.
"Go do that somewhere else, we have food here." I warn and they're already off.
The twins chase Mika all over the field until he shifts.
"No! We didn't bring new clothes!" Elena protests but it's no use.
~Lisa's Point Of View~
We talk and eat together for hours until our stomaches announce it's dinner time.
"We have to go, my mother wants us home for dinner." Elena says and she and Mika leave.
"What about the rest?" Alex questions.
"Do you know what I'm thinking?" Axel asks and smirks at Rebel.
"No, I don't. I'm not a mind reader remember?"
"Fine, deny it but I know I'm right. I was thinking about pizza." Axel says.
"Great idea! I'm hungry as a wolf." Alex backs up his brother. The twins leave to get the pizzas while Grey and Joey go home to grab some warm clothes.
Rebel and I stay behind. She wraps herself into a human sushi roll with the blankets but I don't mind the temperature drop. I have always preferred winter over summer.
I take a deep breath and smile, there something deferent.
"Do you smell that?" I ask Rebel.
She wiggles herself onto her back and inhales deeply. "Yes, wait, no- yes!" She manages to get into a sitting position. Her eyes scan the forest and then the gasps.
"Werewol-" before the word even leaves her mouth a large brown wolves creeps out of the shadows.
He practically radiates power. He looks at both of us but makes eye contact with me.
'Mate'
I get onto my feet and slowly walk towards him. He picks up his pace and sprints towards me. We stop a couple of inches away from each other.
He sits and I kneel down in front of me. His chocolate brown eyes stare at me with adoration.
I slowly raise my hand and stroke his fur. Something unfamiliar sparks between us.
I laugh out loud and hug him around his neck. He changes and soon enough his arms pull me closer to him.
He buries his face in my neck "I can't believe that I finally found you. I can't wait to introduce you to everyone. You're going to be a great Luna" he whispers.
"I'm going to be a what now?!"
~Rebels Point Of View~
"-After he shifted back into wolf form and they just left." I explain.
"Cute, I guess. It's always nice when people meet their mates." Alex shrugs.
Grey and I give each other a look and stay silent.
"Well that means more pizza for us." Axel says and opens one of the boxes. Grey and Alex get into an argument about pineapple on pizza.
I shiver as a cold breeze passes. Joey hands me a black hoodie and gives me a kind smile.
I take it and pull it over my dress. I place my icy hand in the pocket to warm them. There's a piece of paper in there.
I take it out and read it.
Dear Arabella or should I say Rebel,
It is now two weeks until your eoghteenth birthday. I hope you still remember the promise I made. I look forward to seeing you again.
Until then.
My eyes widen.
"No, no, no, no, no...." I whisper and get on my feet.
"You knew this would happen." Joey says. Is he talking to me?
I look at him in shock.
I knew he looked familiar and I now know why.
"It was you, wasn't it?!" I scream at him, already knowing the answer.
"What's happening?" Grey asks.
"Ask your mate." I state and throw the note on the grass before storming of.
