Chapter 5: Bella comes over

We parked on the drive way. I got out of my Volvo followed by Alice and Bella. Bella took one look at our house and was speechless. Her eyes widened and mouth fell but she shut it so I didn't come across as rude. I chuckled. We went up to the front door and Esme welcomed us warmly and gave Bella a motherly hug.  

"hello dear Bella, I am Esme. It's so nice to finally meet you. Edward and Alice have spoken a lot of you" Bella gave me a look and I smiled and looked away. 

"It's nice to meet you too Esme" 

We went into the living room and I sat down on the black leather sofa. The others joined us then and we were all in the living room together.

Esme returned to the room then to ask "Would you kids like a drink? Bella would you like anything?" 

"I will just have some water please" she spoke softly. 

"Me too" said Alice 

"I'll have a glass as well please Esme" I smiled up at her. We had to keep the facade while Bella didn't know about us yet. 

"I'll have a drink" I heard Emmet mutter. Ross hit him around the head and I gave him a death glare. "I was kidding. Shesh" he explained. And I moved my head to Bella.

"Let me show you around Bella" Alice beamed excitedly. She took Bella's hand and scooted her up the stairs. Emmet and Jasper started a game on the play station. I just sat and watched until the girls came back down stairs. Esme brought in our waters and I quickly and silently slipped some into a plant that was near me. Just so it would look like I had drank some to Bella.

"So boys. Are you ready?" asked Alice. Oh great, humiliation hear I come. I thought to myself. Well at least it will amuse Bella. Though I will be embarrassed to dress like that in front of her. But oh well, I'll live. 

"Ready for what" questioned Emmet just loosing to Jasper in the game. 

"It's time you boys got ready for the big show?" she squirmed and let out a giggle. 

"Oh yeah, how could I forget" said Jasper sarcastically. We all got up and trudged up the stairs to Alice's and Jasper's room where the clothes were. I heard the girls getting the walkway ready downstairs while we put on our ridicules outfits.

I wore a yellow short sleeve top which had a cartoon picture of a girl liking an ice-cream. I put on some shorts and little pink sparkly trainers with velcro straps. Emmet had a blue sequin dress with a curved neck and long sleeves. He had silver sandals with little heels on them. It was a funny sight. But I thought that Jasper was the worst/funniest looking. Alice did that on purpose. He had a white polo shirt on with a purple and grey cardigan. He wore a grey just-above-the-knee length skirt long white flower patterned socks with black paintent shoes with a bow on them. Alice had also laid out some bobbles on the bed. And as Jasper was the school girl with the longest hair he managed to force his shortish golden wavy hair into two ponytails one each side of his head making them stick out. Me and Emmet couldn't help but boom laughter through the house. We did all look ridicules but poor Jasper had it bad.

After settling down we all stepped down the stairs shamefully and turned into the living room. Bella, Alice and Rose was seated on one side of the path and Esme and Carlisle on the other. Emmet was first to strut down the isle. Rose whistled as her husband showed of his dress, while everyone else burst out laughing. He posed at the end and walked back. Now it was my go. I walked down the isle and saw Bella's face full of happiness. She was laughing the most. I felt embarrassed but it felt good that I was making her feel like that. I put my hand on my hips for a pose and walked back. 

Finally Jasper's turn came and me and Emmet joined in the laughing for that one. The house filled with happiness and Jasper couldn't help but smile from all the joy we were sharing as a family.

After a while when the show had finished us guys went back upstairs to get changed and left the girls and Carlisle and Esme to stop their laughing. Trying to regain our dignity while we still may have some. 

We joined them again after that. Carlisle and Esme left the room to let us do some more stuff.  

I sat on the sofa and then Bella sat down next to me. I was a little shocked in a eh but happy and thankful in another. 

"That was really funny and kind what you guys just did for us" she confessed. 

"It's my pleasure that I brought you happiness" I replied and smiled.

Time passed and then we had dinner. We had pasta as it was the easiest food that us vampires could eat and the least tasteful. We didn't have much, just enough to keep the facade.

After dinner we all sat in a circle on pillows back in the living room to play truth or dare. Emmets mind was running through all these possible things he was going to make me do. Carlisle and Esme didn't want to play so the cleared up dinner.

First it was Roses turn. 

"Alice. Truth or Dare?" 

"Dare" replied Alice 

"Ok I dear you to back-comb your hair and you can't sort it out until the end of the night" Rosalie taunted. Alice gave her a sad annoyed look and went to get her brush and started on her hair. 

The game continued. But then it got to Emmets go. 

"Edward. Truth or Dare?" I was tempted to saying truth but then ink we what the question would be and I didn't want to make Bella uncomfortable. Also when Rose as asked she chose truth and Emmet called her a baby for not doing a dare and I didn't want that to happen. 

"Ok I choose Dare" I said waiting for him to tell me what I had to do. 

"I dare you to kiss Bella lovingly. Also it has to last for a least 25 seconds" she announced proudly of his dare. 

I looked over to Bella who was sitting next to me. I took in an unnecessary breath. I moved her hair to behind her ear and placed my hand on her neck. I leaned in and kissed her lips. She willingly kissed me back. Our lips parted and my head moved to the side a little. Bella moved her other hand to the ridge of my neck and pulled me in closer. Our kiss deepened and our lips parted once more before pulling away. Our eyes locked together and didn't loose their place until Emmet spoke. 

"Very good Edward and Bella" he spoke a little stunned at what he had just seen. 

You really truly love her. Thought Alice.  

Well done brother. I new you guys would get there. Jasper thought.  

I smiled and looked back to Emmet and gave him a cheeky smile. I looked back to Bella and moved my arm to around her waist and she leaned against my chest. I finally got my Bella. I smiled with happiness and kissed the top of her head.
