Chapter 2: School and Her

I was getting annoyed and ran out the back door. I would go and hunt before school starts. Knowing that Alice would tell everyone what she saw and then they would be blocking it so I couldn't find out. I would just have to wait.

Once I got back from hunting it was getting light out. Alice was in the kitchen talking to Esme about her shopping trip. 

"What shopping trip Alice" I asked walking into the kitchen.  

"I went for a little shop to get Emmets outfit. He does look rather funny if you ask me" 

"Nice one Alice. Thanks." she smiled. Just then I heard Emmet trudging down the stairs. I went to see his new look. I laughed at the sight.  

"Nice outfit Emmet. Or can I call you Emily?" I teased and he have me a death glare. He moved into the living room and I went upstairs to get ready for school. I heard a hall of laughter coming from the living room. 

"Em it's not that bad" Rosalie cooed trying to bring down Emmets temper. I got myself ready and changed into some jeans and a comfy top. I met everyone downstairs. 

"No no no. Edward you can't wear that" complained Alice. 

"What? Why?" I questioned. 

"It's the first day of school and..." she trailed off. 

"And what Alice?" I wanted to know what she wasn't telling me. 

"Oh it's nothing. Come on let me get you sorted." Alice said standing up from her seat. 

"Alice. And what?? I won't go unless you tell me" I tried to read her mind but she kept blocking it from me. I was starting to loose my patients. 

"Edward its... Please just drop it. I promise that you will find out soon" she tried to reassure me. I let it go but was direr minded to find out what she was hiding from me.

When I returned back downstairs I was redressed. I had some smarter looking jeans on with a dark grey v-neck t-shirt and a black shirt which was left unbuttoned. Alice had made me put on my nicer black shoes. 

It was soon ready to leave. Everybody got their stuff together and headed out the door after saying goodbye to Carlisle and Esme. I got in my silver Volvo with Jasper and the others got into Rosalie's big black BMW.

Once we were on the road I turned to Jasper. "What is Alice hiding from me?" I asked not knowing if he would tell me. I was closest to Jasper. We would help each other control our thirst along with the extra help from Carlisle. Jasper wouldn't reply. "Please Jazz. What is it you are all hiding from me?" I said pleading this time. 

"Edward calm down. It's a surprise and I am sorry but I can't tell you" he explained and sounded sorry. I nodded. Jasper was also blocking me from his thoughts so I really did need to wait then.

We pulled into the school grounds and parked. We all got out of the car and stood there. Alice pranced over to Jasper giving his a kiss on the cheek. Emmet stood there in total embarrassment. Rosalie stood with him hand in hand and trying to sooth him before loosing it.

Suddenly Alice stared at a rusted orange color truck that made its way into the car park. 

"Edward! It's her" she said and I followed her gaze. This is what I had been waiting for. 

She stepped out of the truck. Her deep brown big curled hair went down to just below her shoulders. It matched her dark brown beautiful eyes. She wore jeans with a black top and a navy jacket. On her feet were black converse trainers. I looked back at her face. Red lips and smooth pale skin but not at pale as ours. The wind blew and rushed her sent all over to us flying into my face. Sweet, lovely, mouthwatering smell. It was the strongest to me. If I hadn't have hunted a few hours ago my eyes would be a deep dark black. My mouth dropped open and I stared at her. She was the most beautiful person I had every seen. Human or vampire. She was amazing. I felt for once warm in my ice body. I was excited, happy, joyful and most importantly truly amazed at what my eyes were showing me.
