Finding My future • Chapter 2: School and Her

Jasper interrupted my thoughts. "I may not be able to read minds but I know exactly what your feeling. She's yours Edward, and you know it" he patted me on the shoulder and smiled. 

"Alice... She's... Perfect" I managed to say. I was still in shock. 

"I know. Now it's time to make my magic" she replied. I knew what was coming and before I could say anything she was gone already walking over to meet her.

"Hi. I'm Alice" the girl looked up and was a little stunned. 

"Hey. I'm Isabella but I prefers to be know as Bella" Bella. A perfect name for a perfect girl. 

"Your knew right?" Alice asked her. 

"Yeah, I just moved from California" she explained. 

"So you have gone from the sun to the rain. How are you liking it here so far?" 

"Well I only arrived yesterday. But it's nice. Great scenery" the bell went then. None of us moved. Still listen and looking at Alice's and Bella's convocation. 

"I'll show you around if you like. I can see us being great friends" they walked to the front doors and we followed behind. My first lesson was English and then I had history.

By lunch all of us but Alice sat down at a table waiting for her. We had to get some food to keep the facade. Soon Alice arrived with Bella. She still looked just as pretty as earlier. 

"Just calm down Edward" Jasper whispered. He could feel all my mix of emotions and I could tell he was getting annoyed. 

"Sorry Jazz"

"Everyone this is Bella" Alice explained. 

"Bella, this is my family. Jasper, Emmet or Emily it depends on what he is wearing, Rosalie and finally Edward" I smiled weekly and chuckled at the Emmet joke. I had never felt like this towards a human before. Trust Alice to leave me until last though. Alice sat next to Jasper and Bella sat in the space between Alice and I. She smelled so good. I got a burning in the back of my throught. It was like fire scraping against a sharp knife. I felt a wave of calm rush through me. I looked up to Jasper and gave him a than you smile and he nodded in response.

"So Bella. How are you enjoying you day so far?" I asked with a smile and a soft tone to my voice. She seemed nervous to answer but was polite and did anyway. 

"Yeah it's been great. Alice has helped me out a lot" I smiled. 

When she carried on a convosation with Alice I tried to read her mind but was stuck and nothing came to me. Before I could tell if someone was blocking me from what they were thinking. It with Bella I just couldn't figure her out. How strange. Rosalie saw me looking confused. 

"Edward, what is it?" she whispered too quiet for human ears to hear. 

"I can't read her" I said in the same low tone.

"Ahh" Alice slipped out a gasp. 

"What is it Alice?" Bella asked confused. I imagined that Alice was referring to mine and Roses convosation. 

"Oh I... I just thought of a really good idea" she managed to change the subject and think of something quick 

"What's your good idea Alice" 

"How about you come over after school today. We could get to know each other a bit more." Alice offered. We all looked at her. What was she trying to do. Put poor Bella in danger. 

"Sorry I can't tonight. I promised my dad I would have dinner with him" Bella exclaimed 

"Oh ok. How about Friday?" Alice offered again.
