I am thankful for this day, for it
helps me remember. Remember
your corny jokes and yummy ice
cream sandwich cake. Remember
how you took me to therapy and
then to straight to Arby's.
Remember how you sat through
one whole episode of anime just
to make sure I was okay.
Remember how you held me tight
and we both were enveloped in
sleep. Remember the slobbery
kisses and laughing at things for
no apparent reason. Remember
how you try to sound cool by
miss using slang terms.
Remember your patterned sofa
dresses and poofy hair.
Remember how much you love
me. Remember how much you'd
miss me if I'd left. And that
makes me hold on, just a bit
longer.
