Sometimes I wish to run away,
On the only day,
That you'll actually need me.
Sometimes I wish to play the part,
Of the broken heart,
So you'll see how much I'm suffering.
Sometimes I wish to speak my mind,
And try to find,
A way we can still get along.
Sometimes I wish to socialize,
Even though I despise,
The idea of human interaction.
Sometimes I wish the world's great Sun,
Would finally be done,
Peaking into my window to wake me.
Sometimes I wish the things in my room others would deem worthless,
Had no actual purpose,
So I could get rid of them without forgetting the memories.
Sometimes I wish my handwriting was better,
The numbers with letters,
So I could say I'm a good writer.
Sometimes I wish I could have a brave face,
And take my place,
As someone you could all look up to.
Sometimes I wish there were better words said,
Or written or read,
To express my true love for you.
But then again, these are all just wishes.
