Lena Luthor is not a believer of luck.
She, however, always wished that she lived in our world. Firstly, because in this world, she is free to say anything she wants to a person. She can curse, praise or even shower you with her lovely remarks. Secondly, because in this world, she can't hurt anyone. Of course, she knows, dear zeus she knows, that words can hurt a person. Words in this world, from what she read, can permanently scar people, can cause someone to lose their minds.
But Lena is fine with that, because in her world, her words doesn't just affect someone's mind, no it is way worse, it also damages people physically.
In her own dimension, Lena's words can literally kill someone.
70 words. That's what she got. She can't even offer someone a beautiful poem or sing a complete song for zeus, she'll kill them. She knows she will because she already did. She murdered not just someone, but a plenty of people. So, in her world, Lena Luthor is not just cursed human but also a killer.

Kara Danvers is a believer of destiny.
For her, there is always a reason or design. A fate working on her path. There must be, because it'll be really a bad luck if there isn't.
She lost her world, literally. Her planet was old and poisoned. Her people were suffering and crying. Kara's world vanished from the space. So, she believed, there must be a reason why she survived. There must be a design why she woke up one day, with a complete memory of her doomed past, but with a different family in a similar world she used to live in.
Kara believed in reason because she felt the emptiness of her vanished world, because she cried every night wanting to meet her parents, her friends, and her lover.
Kara believed in destiny because if the universe worked hard to bring her in the world she's currently in, then maybe, her second chance to live will be worth it.
