National City has always been a quiet place. The people in this city were always the same people, rarely anyone moved in. One day, though... The Luthors move in. A high-class family with alliterative names. The family moved from Hollywood to National City. The citizens of the city had known the family would change them. They didn't know how much but one thing no one expected was about to unravel.

Alex knew this was going to be a difficult raid but out of all the scenarios she thought of, she never expected this. A story about Alex and Maggie and their lifetime of firsts.

A week after one of Maggie Sawyer's police officers allegedly shot and killed an alien for "simply being an alien," Kara Danvers argues with Maggie Sawyer about whether the officer's actions were an act of brutality or completely justifiable. Less than an hour after the argument, Kara, as Supergirl, and Agent Alex Danvers witness an act of brutality from an officer against an alien. Due to the darkness, Kara was the only person able to see everything clearly. Kara and Alex must confront Maggie about the situation. Maggie knows what she has to do about the officer who committed such horrid acts, but the courage it takes to correctly handle the situation is difficult to acquire, especially with all of National City, and most of the country, watching her every move.
