He stands with his hands in the air, holograms popping up at each swipe of his gloved hands; a big brain, an eye, muscular structures, pyramids, plants - all these things pop up, everywhere.

The door opens behind him and the constable guarding it salutes.

He doesn't need to look back, he already knows how his big boots drop.

'How is the  program going, are we set for launch?'

General Trombone never comes in for small talk.

The Mandroid program is expected to be up and running by midnight and should be available for download in the Nigerian Android Market Place(NAMP).

This Mandroid program is created to integrate technology with the human DNA perfectly; using advanced nanotechnology. 

Fredrick Icheku has worked with his team on this program for what seems like ages now and after series of test on animals and humans alike, Mandroid is ever ready.

'We are good to go sir." he replies T-bone. "The first upgrade is set for seven days, after which we will meet up with Tony and depending of the projections met, we will upload it worldwide."

Trombone puts his phone to his ear.

'Everything is right on time Mr President, we are set to launch tonight. Ok sir. . . .Thank you sir.'

It is time and Fredrick stands on the makeshift podium in the center of the auditorium; with bright lights dancing on his face and there is a large screen behind him.

If anyone in the crowd was still interested in the fact and figures at this point, it is the the two Indians, Raj and Taj.

'What do they always talk about?' Fred wonders, watching them buzz like bees.

In his left hand switch with a fancy red button on it; any other day, it could have been an ordinary red, but not today.

The Mandroid program has come a very long way; from Fred meeting with a lot of programmers in the Google convention in California five years ago, to stumbling on this idea, planning phase, to the development phase in a one bedroom apartment, before securing a grant with Tony to expand the face of the project and move to testing phase.

This is now time to empower the marketing phase of the program.

Mandroid Version 1.0 is designed as an App that induces somnambulism upon the users request; a much needed technology in this age where working prolonged hours could expose one to Amnesia and the risks involved with it.

The matrix on which the finished software is built though is so volatile and highly complex that the military has commenced testing a beta version on its soldiers in remote stealth facility for combat training in Rem sleep.

The plus of this technology is that, while the user is in sleep state, the Mandroid App can take over the users motor sensory abilities and replicate any activities the user has recorded on the App previously - a sort of human autopilot devise it is.

It is almost time now and Fred raises his Champagne goblet with his other arm, leaving his left hand at his waist firmly gripping the switch.

The virtual grandfather clock begins to chime.

He hits the red button at the twelfth chime of the clock and away the Mandroid App goes into the market place; uploaded at last.

The auditorium is silent, and even Rag and Taj do not say a word, all eyes belong to the big screen ahead; on it reads 'DOWNLOADS' and just beneath these blue letters is a digit in red, '0'.

it is exactly one minute after the Mandroid App launch and the digit flicks to '1'; the auditorium explodes in delight.

This is the first ever recorded download of the Mandroid App on NAMP.

It has begun.
