Once upon a time, there was...
I look up at them and realize something... "Where did you two come from?" I ask them curiously.
They seem to exchange a look.
They take us down into a hatch that leads through the sewers. In the thick and moist air we submerge and walk briskly down the corridor of black walls. When we get to a large room we find people...
Tons of people.
Human beings of all ages; loners, families, couples, siblings... Everything from citizens to police are here taking refuge with stocks of food and blankets, all of them dirty and starving, just trying to survive. There are also nurses and doctors here to help injured people that count more than I'd like to see...

"How many are there?" I ask with my eyes showing horror.
"Close to three hundred," he answers.
"My god," Bruce sighs.

WANDA:
My shoes crunch on broken glass when we enter the small building. There are tons of things missing and thrown on the ground around us, some squashed by panicked feet. Money is the only thing that wasn't touched. Why would anyone need it? I look around at the ground to see no signs of even insects eating any of this free food... No living creature is in sight.
I look around and mindlessly grab a package of small donuts left on the shelf.

Steve has grabbed an energy drink from the back of the shelf when there seemed to be one left and is looking at me oddly.
"What?" I ask with furrowed brows.
He shakes his head and shrugs.
"Oh right. They probably didn't have donuts back when the dinosaurs roamed the Earth."
He chuckles. "Yeah I had to grow up eating prehistoric ferns."
I laugh. "Have you really never had anything like this?"
