As soon as we got to California, Sebastian had me going through files and contracts. By 9 I had to change into something professional and we ended up in meetings the rest of the day. There were just meetings back to back to back.

I was so tired I couldn't even think straight. "Nyla lets go we have to get to the party." Sebastian called through the bed room door.

Sebastián had a house out here and that is where we are staying. "I'm coming!" I responded as I put on my heel.

As soon as I finished getting dressed I rushed down the steps. Sebastian was already dressed and ready. He looked really nice in an all black suit, his brown hair looking perfect, and the watch on his wrist would shine even in the dark.

He looked up at me and just stared with his mouth slightly open. "Do i look okay? Is it to revealing?" I asked. "No!" He said immediately.

"I mean no, you look absolutely stunning." He said. "Thank you, you don't clean up too bad either." I said.

Just as he went to speak, my phone started ringing. "Hello?" I called.

"Princesa!" Javier exclaimed. "Hey boo. ¿Cómo estás?" I asked.

"Not good. Where are you?" He asked in Spanish. "California." I responded.

"Way too far." He groaned. "I know but I should be home soon. What's wrong?" I asked.

I had walked away from Sebastian and onto the porch. "I miss you." He said. "Ive only been gone for like 24 hours." I laughed. "When I get back we will have the ultimate sleepover at your place." I said.

"When do you get back?" He asked. "In three days." I said. He groaned and I couldn't help but smile. "Come on Nyla. You can dilly dally with your boyfriend later." Sebastian grumbled.

"Baby, i gotta go. Sebastian and I have to get to this banquet." I said.

"First name basis i see." He pointed out. I chuckled and shook my head. "Yeah i guess he was tired of hearing Mr. Romano." I said.

"Mhmm. Call me when you get back from the banquet." Javier said.

"I will." I said. After exchanging goodbyes, I went back inside to tell Sebastian I was ready to leave.

After a thirty minute drive in agonizing silence, we still weren't there and I was starting to feel confined. I hated being in the car for a long time.

"How long have you and Javier been together?" Sebastian asked breaking the silence. "Um almost two months." I responded.

"Interesting." He said. The rest of the ride was silent.

When we got to the banquet there were people everywhere. I was so busy looking around I didn't notice Sebastian standing in front of me with his hand out to help me out the car. I put my hand in his and stepped out the car.

As we stepped inside the huge mansion I slightly felt out of place. There were people of all races it seemed but everyone wore either black or white. But I stuck out like a sore thumb in the red dress that Sebastian picked out for me.

Sebastian placed his hand on the small of my back making butterflies erupt in my stomach. I got that feeling whenever he touched me and I just couldn't begin to understand why. "Sebastian was there a dress code?" I whispered.

"Yes, but you are too unique to blend in with the likes of these uptight and boring people." He said and I couldn't help but smile.

"Thank you." I said. He smiled at me before a tall brunette approached us. I expected her to speak to Sebastian but instead she smiled at him and turned to me.

"Hi, I'm Evangeline and I believe you Are Javier Velucci's girlfriend?" She said. "I'm Nyla. Do I know you?" I asked her.

"Well, darling I am his older sister." She said with a smile. "So you're the Evangeline that jumped out of a window with Javier and took a go cart on the highway?" I asked.

"Sí, and you are the gorgeous Nyla that has my brother smiling nonstop." She said with a smile.

Evangeline was gorgeous and I could see the family resemblance. "I have to get back to my plus one, it was nice meeting you. You look gorgeous by the way. It was nice seeing you Sebastian." She said before walking away.

"It looks like you will be fitting right in." Sebastian said.
