"Tony dinner is ready!" I called up the stairs and began to walk back into the kitchen. The table was already set with two plates of food and towels. Homemade lemonade sat in the pitcher in the middle of the table.
Tony - my six year old son came down holding his action figure looking tired.
"Honey no toys at the diner table, set him on the couch please." I smiled at him, crossing my arms,"Wash your hands."
He left his toy on the couch as told and walked over to the sink. I pulled over the steps and helped him get the liquid soap in his hands. He rubbed them together softly and then I turned on the water. He began to wipe his hands under the water and the towel dried them off.
I turned the sink off and pulled his chair out for him, then pushing him in when he was seated,"I like these bacon burgers mommy!" He smiled when he saw what was on his plate. I poured him some lemonade and then sat down at my seat.
I heard the door open and close,"I'm home Danielle!" My husband called out as the front door closed.
"Just in time for dinner!" I called back at him. I saw him walk from the entrance and into the living room. He sat down on the couch throwing Tonys toy on the floor. He put his legs on the coffee table and turned the tv on.
"Honey we are having dinner." I called out to him. He waved his hand at me.
"Bring me a plate when you and the boy are done."
I sighed and looked back at Tony,"How was school?" I fake smiled at him.
His smile disappeared,"I don't want to talk about it." He grumbled.
"Are you being picked on again?" I asked him slightly raising my voice.
"No mommy. Not after what uncle Dean did." He smirked at the mention of the incident that also got him kicked out of school.
I let lose a bit,"What Dean did was wrong-", I was cut off by knocking at the door,"I got it." I called out knowing that Bradley - my husband wouldn't get up to get it and Tony isn't allowed to.
My bare feet slapped across the wooden floor. I stopped at the door and peaked through the looking hole,"Speak of the devil." I sighed pulling the door open.
"Hey sis, what's for diner?" Dean of course was the first one to talk.
"Hey Dani." Sam smiled from behind Dean. I moved back so that they could walk in. They took their shoes off by the front door for once - without me telling them to do so.
"What brings you here, again?" I asked hostile. Trouble followed us like a sick curse.
"We need to talk, privately." Sam mumbled before looking at Tony and Brad.
I sighed,"Come and eat dinner first. Dean's favorite."
I began to walk away from the door and towards the dining room/kitchen where Tony sat still eating.
"Uncle Dean! Uncle Sam!" He smiled and waved frantically.
"Hey there buddy." Dean smiled back as he sat down at the table looking at me expectantly.
Sam grabbed a plate and began to get his food before he sat down,"You got two legs." I told Dean.
He stood up and walked past me, when he did he grabbed my face and gave me a big sloppy kiss.
"I bet I have herpes now." I began to scrub my face with my hand.
Sam laughed and Dean looked hurt,"You should feel that pain that twins feel when they get hurt."
