Chapter 28 I Can Take You Away

Lily smiled, for a small moment the tension dissolved at Xioa's unexpected confession.

"This is the most out of place praise I have ever heard."

"I have already sent out a distress call now let's hope that they see it.

"Now...Can anyone save us?"

Xiao Yan closed his eyes and exhaled. "In the entire base, There is maybe only one person can save us."

All personal in the control center were evacuated. The target of the missile was obviously intended for that area. Shen Bing's decisive order to attack the aircraft caused a deviation in the path of the missile. Had it hit as planned, the amount of casualties would have been enormous.

Shen Bing's and his men were escorted out by Heine's task force. They reached the exit with considerable effort and Shen Bing entered the passage.

Suddenly Heine paused at the door.

Shen Bing looked at him puzzled.

"Heine! Come on!"

Heine's mouth is stern and his eyes are cold.

The edge of his mouth doesn't tilt in the slightest, giving away no emotion, his eyes seem indifferent to the chaos surrounding them.

"There is something I have to do."

 "What's the matter?"

Liv and Mark went to rush out towards him, but Heine raised his leg, pushing against Mark's chest not allowing him to move forward. His posture is extreme and fierce.

"We forgot that dumb rookie."

Heine lifts his wrist and shows the message from Xiao that has appeared on the display.

It says, "Wait Colonel"

Before Mark could make another effort, he was kicked back by Heine. Like dominos all the men behind Mark fell down and the door closed.

"Heine! You bastard!"

Shen Bing tried to open the door to the passage, but it has been locked.

"Colonel! You are our Commander! You can't just leave!"

Mark and Liv pounded on the door, but there was no response. The door remained locked.

"Open the Door!"

Heine moved through the hallway, indifferent to the zombies attempting to lunge at him. He just waved his sword and split the air.

Xiao and Lily are still trapped in the room, growing more nervous by the minute. Lily paced incessantly. "Even if someone were to come save us, the amount of zombies would only grow. How can we break through to reach the refuge passage?"

"We will try to close off unnecessary passageways and isolate a closed path. Then we pass."

"Is that possible?"

"Ill try, some are difficult to shut down."

After a half an hour Lily is sitting on the floor, nestled up against Xioa Yan's knees.

"Hey, is someone coming to save us?"

Xiao Yan didn't answer.

He used the terminal to observe the various passages.

Finally, in one monitor, a ruthless and austere figure is reflected in his mind.

The left and right side of his blade broke open the zombies bodies, spraying their fluids everywhere. Xiao thought to himself, that this is what invincible means.

However, the space Heine moves through is narrow, limiting the use of his sword and the influx of zombies is only increasing.
