Chapter 16

"What the hell?!"

You look over at Jungkook who rubs the back of his head, smiling sheepishly.

"Sorry guys...I thought I saw a squirrel run across the road.."

You sigh and rub your chest, your heart slamming in fear.

"You okay Jimin?"

You look in the back seat and see Jimin rubbing his head, his plump lips once again fixed in a pout.

"My head hurts."

You sigh and unbuckle your seatbelt, fixing to get in the backseat with Jimin to check his head but Jungkook grabs your arm.

"He'll be fine, let's just get to the mall."

Jimin gives you a thumbs up as you get back in your seat, frowning softly at the brown haired boy next to you, why did he stop you?

"Finally!"

Jimin hops out of the back seat, a wide smile on his face as he looks at you.

"Food first?"

You smile and nod as you give him a thumbs up, your stomach growling.

"Oh yeah, free food."

You suddenly feel someone's arm around your shoulder, you look to see Jungkook smiling at you softly.

"Let's eat wherever you want, we can even share a shake."

"Um...I don't eat ice cream."

You don't notice the blush make it's way on Jungkook's face because he replaces it too quickly with a smile, tugging you past Jimin.

"Well then, let's just eat!"

"Jimin."

You give the blonde boy a hard look as he stands in the line like a child, pointing at the sign.

"Come on Y/N! It's a new burger place!"

"You know I don't eat this stuff, we need to stay in shape!"

Jimin gives you puppy dog eyes, his arms go limp to his sides as he stands there, you feel your pulse quicken at the act.

Shit Y/N, this is his greatest move.

You swallow hard and sigh, crossing your arms, knowing you're about to give in.

"Alright, let's eat here then, I'll skip a meal."

You watch as he smiles wide and runs back to the line, standing there like a proud child.

Oddly, you notice yourself smile when he does, the way his emotions can change so quickly, not to mention the eye smile.

The damn eyesmile.

You look over and blush when you see the girls in the food court, all wearing clothes too tight to even be considered clothing, their nails done in expensive jewels and hands on their hips in shiny high heels.

You swallow hard as they all glare hard at you, especially when Jungkook grabs your hand and tugs you towards the line where Jimin stands.

"Ignore them. They just like Jimin."

Only Jimin?

You shrug your shoulders then widen your eyes, noticing Jungkook holding your hand, his fingers laced softly with yours.

Oh.

You smile to yourself and bite the inside of your lip, this is the first time you've ever held hands with a boy.

Maybe he likes me..

"Y/N what do you-"

You look at Jimin who stares at your hands interlocked with Jungkook's, his eyes immediately change, they look stormy and his tone drops to barely a whisper.

"What..do you want to eat?.."

You smile and rub your chin, hoping to lighten the sudden mood.

"The biggest burger they have."

Jimin looks at you shocked, his teeth showing as he chuckles.

"Oh really? You? A huge burger?"

You nod and cross your arms, Jungkook grunts a little when you take your hand out of his.

"Oh yeah, what's wrong Jimin? You scared I'll prove you wrong?"

Jimin smiles wide, walking up to you, the arrogance on full display again.

"Alright then Y/N, the one who can't eat the burger has to pay for the next meal."

You try to match his arrogance as you stick your hand out, eyes sparkling at the challenge.

"Deal."
