TWEWY (Joshua x Reader)

Part 6

Flashback

Now that (P/n) has come back to life, I can go to the afterworld in peace. I'll just let myself fade away here.

"Finally.. I can be free from this hell, " I whispered to myself as I looked up upon the sky. 

I can now say farewell to this shitty world.

End of Flashback

"You were going to suicide on the first day weren't you?" Joshua asked trying to make me comfirm. "Your eyes were lifeless on that day," he said. "Okay fine I was. I wouldn't get mad at you for that. Anyways, so what about it?" I asked. "Why?" Joshua asked. "Haha.. you're asking why? It's tiring you know?" I said. "What was?" Joshua asked. "Just remembering it, is tiring," I said. I looked down onto the ground with despair. "You really want to know?" I asked. Joshua nodded. "You better tell me something about your life after I finish ranting. This is very personal to me after all," I said. 

"I guess it all started after I was in an accident. I had died and I entered the game. Being so confused, I didn't know what to do. I couldn't help but wonder, "where am I?" I had found my best friend from back when I was alive.  Talking about it, I don't think I ever learned how she died. We made a pact together and we completed missions together. We figured out about the reaper's game together. We spent our days together and I started to think that the UG world wasn't so bad. Finally we had reached the final day. The day where we fought the game master. We fought that game master and we beat him. But.. that freaking composer.. that composer, I'll never forgive him," I said. My emotions started to burn with anger. "He.. he erased her," I said.

"Erased her?" Joshua said.

"That's right, it was cruel how (P/n) died. I don't even think it was allowed in the rules. That composer freaking erased her. No reason whatsoever. The composer was put down from his position as a composer. But.. no one could go back in time. No one. (P/n) had made the most points during that week. The rules strictly stated that only the player with the most points was allowed to come back to life. So I had to restart the game. The same thing happened. Over and over again. That's right, the every single time they replaced the composer the results were always the same," I said. I laughed softly trying to calm down my emotions.

"It must have been hard," Joshua said. "It's okay I don't want to be pitied. I'm done talking now, since I told something so personal to me you better tell something about you," I said. "Very well," Joshua said. 

"Now, where shall I start. Ah you see, ever since I was a kid, I was able to see what we call the Underground world. People thought I was wierd when I told them about the UG. So people ended up avoiding me whenever I was nearby. But there was finally someone I was able to talk to. You know that man who works at Wildkat Cafe?" Joshua asked. "I don't know his name but, yeah," I said. "He was the only one who believed what I said. His name is, Sanae Hanekoma," he said. 

Flashback 

The waiter walked to us and put our drinks onto the table. "Thanks for wait- WAIT IS THAT YOU, JO-"

Oh so that day when we visited that cafe, I wasn't hearing things. I was pretty sure that he was about to say Joshua's name. So I guess those two knew each other. 

"What about school?" I asked. "I had no friends, everyone thought I was the "wierd kid" but I guess I wasn't meant to fit in. Most of the time I would watch from the Realground, the Underground world. It was much more interesting than the Realground. Then I saw you, I noticed you were in the games many weeks. I started to take a liking to you," he said. "You already knew about everything I told you then?" I asked. "Sorry," Joshua said. "No you don't have to apologize but.. this is just sad to hear," I said. "Who was it that said they didn't want to be pitied again?" Joshua chuckled. "After a period of time I figured, if I kill myself I won't have to live in this miserable world," he said. "No way..," I said in shock. "Did you really..?" I asked. "I suicided. I've got to say being in the UG is a lot better than the RG," Joshua said. 

"Wait so you didn't play this game to come back to life? Why did you decide to come here then..?" I asked. "Because of you," Joshua said. "Me?" I asked  "That's correct, I knew it was going to be any day that you would decide to suicide. That's because I knew the feeling of wanting to run away from reality. I decided to step into this game," Joshua said. "For.. me?" I asked in complete shock. Joshua nodded. "That's all I have to say," Joshua said. 

"Talking about my past has gotten my mood pretty low. Say to enlighten this mood, why don't we get some food now. My treat~ What do you say?" Joshua said as if nothing had just happened. "Are you just going to act as if nothing happened just now?" I asked. "That's not it, it's not good to dwell on the past. The same goes for you, (Y/n) You should stop dwelling onto your past. It's pretty pathetic if you ask me," Joshua said trying to enlighten the mood I assumed. "I guess that's true but, you're pretty pathetic if you ask me though. Killing yourself for my sake," I said. "I guess I am," he said. "Well, perhaps we're both morons," I laughed. "Say, do you think we'll be able to beat the game master?" I asked. "Who knows," Joshua said. "Well, I think with you, I can beat just about everyone but you're terrible additude," I laughed. "Is that a compliment?" Joshua asked. I slapped onto Joshua's back," Of course it is!" I said. "Okay, I'm hungry now, let's go for a bite now," I said. 

I feel like I got to know Joshua a little better now. 

(A/n: Wow, sorry if you noticed Joshua was OOC but, I made him a bit OOC purposely just for the sake of the mood. But Joshua came out a bit more OOC than I expected. Sorry if it bothered you but, this is the best I could do)
