Before I had known it, it was already day 6. Which meant that there was only one more day until we would have to fight the game master.

On the final seventh day, you fight the person who is in charge of sending the mission mail, the game master. If you succeed you can come back to life but, if you don't succeed well.. that means the game master erased you and you're gone. The thing is though, even if you survive there's a catch. Only one person can come back to life.

"Mm hm.. Okay sure," Joshua said. I looked behind me and I saw Joshua there, talking on the phone. "Okay, I'll keep that in mind," Joshua said. Joshua hung up his call and placed it into his pocket. "Who were you calling so early in the morning?" I asked. "Are you worried I was talking to another woman? Don't worry, you're the only person for me~"

I did only ask him who was he calling right?

"Stop joking around and tell me why and who were you calling?" I said. "But I wasn't joking~" Joshua said. "Just tell me already," I said. "I was simply talking to someone I know of," Joshua said.

Yup, that definitely answered my question.

You sighed, knowing that you would get nowhere if you continued this conversation.

"Fine, if you don't want to tell then don't. Jeez why can't you just say it straight forwardly, it's not like I'll get mad," I said.

I don't think I'll ever be able to understand this boy. We've known each other for almost six days if you count today. I don't think I noticed until now but, I haven't learned anything about this boy other than he has a nasty attitude. Well I know, he tends to avoid my questions by saying comments that frustrate me. Is that all I know about him?

"If you keep staring at me like that, you're going to make me blush," Joshua commented. "Ugh just be quiet for a second and let me think," I said.

Seriously.. who is this boy?

"Could it be my precious (Y/n) is thinking about me?" Joshua said. "Like hell, I am," I said. "If that's really so then, why have you been looking at me this entire time? Could it be that (Y/n) has fallen for me?" Joshua said. "No I have NOT fallen for you!" I exclaimed. "Who would even like an idiot like you?" I murmured. "A mysterious person named (Y/n) would~" Joshua said. "You know it could be some other person with the same name as me right?" I said.

As Joshua kept on telling me things that would just get me annoyed, I opened my phone waiting for the mission mail.

BEEP

"Ah here it us," I said. Joshua closed my phone right when I was about to open and read the mission mail. "Do you really want to work yourself on the day before we fight the game master?" Joshua said. "Let me guess, you want to bail out again," I said. Joshua nodded. I sighed, "I mean if you want to, sure I guess," I said. "So then what do you want to do today if we're going to skip out on our mission?" I asked.

There was silence for a moment. "I wanted to learn more about you before we beat this game master," Joshua said.

"Huh? Wait did you just say something being straight forward for once?" I asked. Joshua kept silent. "Okay then, sure if your interested in me, you're going to have to tell me a bit about yourself too then," I said. "But, first I wanted to confess something," Joshua said. "What? Are you actually being serious for once?" I laughed. "Can you promise not to get mad from what I'm about to tell you?" Joshua asked. "That depends, are you going to say something that will get me mad?" I said. "Probably," Joshua said. "...Okay fine I'll promise," I said.

"I actually wanted to say, the reason why I became your partner was because, I wanted to stop you," Joshua said. "Stop me from what?" I asked. "What you were aiming to do on the very first day of this week," Joshua said.
