Another normal day but somehow, it doesn't feel like it used to.

I got up and went to my daily routine. I scrolled through Spotify to find some awesome tune and played it.

After taking a shower, I roamed into my walk-in closet and picked an outfit from yesterday's shopping. I feel like wearing a different kind of clothing style. I chose a black crop top, white checkered shirt, and ripped jeans paired with white sneakers.

As I climb downstairs, the maids and other staff stared at me like I was a ghost or whatever.

"Good morning," they greeted me.

Amity placed my breakfast in front of the table.

"Good morning," she said and smiled at me.

"Morning. Get dressed; no need to wait for me to finish my breakfast. Go." I told her.

She hurried up and got ready.

When she enters the dining room, I froze and adored her appearance.

A sleeveless t-shirt, jeans, black converse, and glasses suited her nerdy personality.

"Cute," I muttered.

I saw her cheeks turn red.

I finished my breakfast and hopped in the car along with her.

Once we arrived at school, all eyes were on us. We do stand out a bit.

Adrian approached us with Paulo trailing behind him.

"Katalina? Amity? Is that you guys?"

"Who else would it be?" I asked.

His eyebrows rose, and smiled, "You two look amazing,"

"Thanks," we said in unison.

"We better get to class," Paulo suggested, and we agreed.

It really feels different today.

"You're smiling,"

"Hmm?" I turn to her.

"You're smiling. What is it?"

"I am?" I touch my lips and, indeed, I am smiling, so that's why my cheeks start to ache.

She chuckles, "You're in a good mood,"

"I guess I am,"

I turn to Paulo, who was next to Adrian, "Paulo, do you know a place where I can get a driver's license?"

"My uncle's a driving instructor; he can help. I'll try to contact him for you," Adrian chipped-in.

"Have you practice driving yet?" Paulo asked.

"No,"

"I know a place you can practice your driving skills,"

"Really? Where?"

"At an old parking lot, it's only a block away from my house. I could take you there,"

"Thanks,"

I smiled at them and saw how shock their faces were.

Adrian chuckles, "You should smile often,"

As we enter our room, nothing but silence filled the room.

Everyone stared at Amity and me.

Then murmurs and whispers start to fill in.

"Who are those chics?"

"Woah. Love their outfit,"

"Are they new?"

And it keeps going and going until our teacher arrived.

Amity hurriedly sat on the chair next to mine.

Adrian didn't argue with her and just sat on the chair in front of us while pouting.

He started his class, and I think he didn't notice us.

^^^^^^^

"Can I join you guys?" a stranger asked us.

"Take a hike, dimwit." She seemed offended by my answer and left.

"Don't you think you're a little too harsh on that girl?" Paulo asked.

"People like her are more likely to be famewhores. Haven't you notice that no one bothered to sit here with us, and suddenly they do?

"She does have a point," said Adrian.

"Okay, okay," Paulo raised his arms in surrender.
