Two weeks go by faster than you would think. We just got home after an exhausting 2 weeks in the Bahamas. Tomorrow, we fly back out to Miami for magcon and then we fly home for vacation. We're all on summer break so we dont have anything to do other than relax.
"wasnt that fun?" my mom asks cheerily as we walk in the front door to our house.
"yea really fun!" Hayes cheers, running up the stairs
"Megan, can i talk to you in private?" she smiles weakly, ushering me into my dads office and shutting the door behind us.
"whats up?" i ask sitting on the desk
"well a little birdy told me something very interesting that you and Taylor did while we were on the cruise. care to explain?" she crosses her arms
"w-what do you mean?" i stutter, choking on my breath
"you know exactly what i mean" she sighs "explain" she eyeballs me
"theres nothing to explain" i say quietly
" yes there is, your too young to be doing that kind of stuff!" she exclaims
"mom, im going to be 16 in a few months," i groan
"so? that doesnt give you a right to throw your body aound like a prostitute!" she yells
"its not like that mom" i growl
"yes it is! your 15 and already had sex with i dont know how many guys" she huffs
"liten to me mother, Taylor was my first, and i was his, we were both virgins and we were well aware of what we were walking into, we used protection, we both love eachother very much, and nothing you say or do will change that" i hiss
"well i still think you should've waited" she says under her breath
"are we done here?" i say walking toward the door
"no" she says, stepping in front of me
"ugh what?" i groan
"i think its best that you dont see Taylor anymore" she says sternly
"what? no mom please no" i say as tears prick my eyes
"im trying to protect you" she says weakly
"from what. mom what could you possibly be protecting me from?" i say sarcastically
"heartbreak" she says quietly
"mom, you saw The Fault In Our Stars right?" i ask
"yeah, what does that have to do with this?" she questions
"well as Augustus said, 'it would be an honor to have my heart broken by you'" i say, looking at the floor
"honey, thats a stupid quote, heartbreak is ugly and i dont want you to go through it" she says as she reaches out to rub my arm
i jerk it away "dont want me to go through it, HA mom, what do you think your doing right now? your shattering my heart and you cant even see it" i dryly laugh
"honey hear me out--"
"no we're done here, you cant stop me from falling in love, but you can be there to pick me up, and all your doing is shoving me deeper into the pavement" i growl, pushing past her and running p the stairs, slamming my door in the porcess
"Megan! please honey wait" she yells running after me.
i ignore her and throw myself on the bed, as tears pour out of my eyes.
