"Y-Yuta?"

"Yes, angel?"

Sicheng didn't respond. Curious, Yuta walked out of their shared room and walked into their living room, where he saw Sicheng sobbing quietly, trying to shush himself. Instantly, Yuta ran over to him and gave him a hug.

"What happened, baby bear?"

"I-It's been two years..."

"Since what, hun?"

Sicheng remained silent.

"You don't have to tell me, baby."

Sicheng sobbed even more.

"S-Since my old boyfriend..."

"Sicheng, do you want to tell me?"

He nodded, yet it was hesitant.

"Sichengie."

"S-Since my boyfriend hung himself,"

Yuta dropped his phone. He looked at Sicheng, wary of what to say next. Sicheng began shaking, and Yuta's first instinct was to go over and hung him, which was what he did. He held him close to his body as Sicheng cried even more.

He softly rubbed his back. "It's okay, Sichengie. Deep breaths."

Sicheng choked on his tears, then began hyperventilating.

"Sicheng, babe, you'll be alright. Deep breaths, please."

"I-I-I..."

"Sicheng, it's okay."

"I-It's not!"

"Baby, you'll be alright."

Instead of responding, Sicheng just cried even more.

"T-Thank you, s-so much..."

Yuta didn't say anything, but his arms wrapped around the boy were tighter, wishing that his hugs would somehow patch up the worries that had been left behind, though he knew they could only do so much.

He wished that 'so much' would be enough.

It wouldn't be.
