Chapter 13: The Interview

“Oh Me Powell, thank so much.” I say smiling warmly.

“Oh, no need for thanks...I’ve been watching how hard you all have been working and thought some good food would boost your energy.” Mr Powell explains as he and his wife place all the food on the banquet table.

“Wow, this food looks fit enough for a king, thank you so much sir.” Joey says as he calls his crew over to eat some food and take a break.

Smiling as I walk over and join them as we share a few stories and laughs as I hear the front door open and see Ling Li walking in.

“Looks like I came in at a good time.” She smiles greeting everyone once she joins us at the table.

“Take a few bites then I can help you set up at the back.” I say smiling.

“Thanks but I grabbed a few bites to eat before I came down but do save me some for later” Ling Li says pulling her makeup bag with her to the back.

“Alright, I’ll save you a few pieces before the guys here finish it all.”

I ask My Powell to pack some food for Ling Li and I for later after the interview and also to pack some food the guys just in case they forget to ask.

Heading to the back I start helping Ling Li set up as we clear the floor and set up the makeup and hair station and I put the outfits she has chosen for Jiyong and myself on the rack. Smiles as I try take a peek but gets startled as Ling Li hits my hand.

“Ya, no peeking, you can only see it when I give to you to change into.” Ling Li says sternly.

“Oh, alright fine… I won’t peek.” I say pouting softly.

“I promise you will like it.” Ling Li says confidently.

I chuckle nodding my head, “I trust you... well it’s a am hour or so before Jiyong arrives so I will leave you to finish up.”

“You will be getting ready at the same time so that way you both will start the interview on time.” Ling Li explains.

“Oh, alright it’s around 15:30 right now so still got a few more hours to set up before he arrives.”

Walking back to the front as Joey and the crew are back to work and I hear 'Give Life Back to Music' by Draft Punk. Singing along as Ling Li comes to the front telling me it’s 30 minutes till Jiyong arrives and she wants me to come to the back to start getting ready. Nodding I follow her to the back and her assistant helps me into the outfit she has picked out for me to wear for the interview.

I’m wearing a pair of slim high waist black pants, a Baer frill Sasha silhouette blouse, bright red heels and O-ring elliptic rail drop earrings all from Stylenanda.com. Stepping out I look in the long length mirror.

“Ling Li, you were right I love this look…” I say checking myself out as I hear a car pulling up.

“Ladies, the man of the hour has arrived. I’ll bring him through” Joey says as he pokes his head through the door.

“Thanks Joey.” Ling Li and I both say at the same time.

“Well, here is the makeup palate I want you to follow. I’ll be helping Jiyong get ready.” Ling Li explains to me handing me a makeup sketch.

“Sorry for the intrusion ladies… but Jiyong is here.” Mr Kim announces as they stand by the door.

“Oh, do come in Ling Li will be helping you get ready Jiyong and Joey shall show you where you will be seated Mr Kim.” I explain walking out the room and motioning Mr Kim to follow me.
