Chapter 10: Two days down two to go

CHINA'S POV

I wake at the sound of my alarm pushing my pillow upright as I sit up leaning against it. Taking my phone, I tap on the Gmail icon and starts drafting a message to Ling Li about our meeting up at the Maroon Café.

From: China Parks 

To: Ling Ling

RE: LOCATION SCOUT OUT

Morning Ling

This is China just sending you a reminder to meet me at the Maroon Café today at 11:00 for us to scout out the place and see where you can set your station.

China

I give a quick check to make sure there are no errors and tap send; placing my phone on my headdress to charge. I climb out to of bed and strips the sheets down airing my sheets and blankets as I make my bed and get into the shower. After stepping out of the shower my phone buzzes and I walk over taking it off the charger to see. The notification is from my email I tap on my email a message from Ling Li.

Hey China

Thanks for the reminder; I'll see you at 11:00 then.

Ling Li

Putting my phone back on the charger as I go over to my closet and take out some clothes to wear, do my hair and a bit of makeup, grab my phone and keys heading downstairs I check the time it reads 08:30 am.

Reaching for a bowl and the box of cereal as I fill half the bowl and pours some milk then takes some strawberries and cuts up a few tossing them into my bowl. I get a spoon and sit outside on my balcony enjoying my breakfast. After finishing take my bowl to the kitchen and took out a cup. I pour some hot boiling water and cut a lime wedge and drop it in. Walking back to the balcony I take small sips of the lime water till it finishes, I then place the cup and bowl in the dishwasher.

Grabbing my keys, phone handbag and jacket I exit the house get in the car and drive to work. Arriving at the office I settle down and open my diary, I had to go downstairs to the studio to see the models that were selected to be in this month's issue. Since the magazine has already been Okayed by Paula and me it was just about seeing how the photo shoots with the models came out and seeing if they are any imperfections such as the images before it goes for printing.

I met Elena who comes downstairs to look at the names and faces of the models. Taking the elevator Jackson, our in-house photographer greets us.

"Hey China and Elena, what brings you down to the studio today," Jackson asks.

"Well, Jackson we're here to see the headshots of the models that were used for this month's February Issue," I explain as I smile greeting those who were busy working in the studio.
